Day 18, Proverbs Chapter 18

7 The mouths of fools are their ruin;
they trap themselves with their lips.

And contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

that is folly and shame. Proverbs 18:13
Agreed. Plus, it just makes things more complicated when you realize you spoke before listening, because you either have to explain that you weren't listening or come up with an excuse for why you answered the way you did. It just causes problems...

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
This kind of ties in with a verse from yesterday, Proverbs 17:17. It's important to choose your friends wisely.
