Day 14, Proverbs Chapter 14

Reading this psalm reminds me to choose careful who our friends are. Being friends with non-believers will cast us down. Consider someone who is mocking sin for example. Someone who holds no convictions. Fools are not a friend we want to have while on the Lord's path! Proverbs 14:7-9
Best to pray for some people at a distance.

I like this one, so many have told me over the years how we all will go to the same place!

He is GOOD. He promises to bless our generations after us. My great grandfather who i never met, i was told was a man of God and he would gather his grandchildren all around him and read the Bible. i suspect he prayed for all of his children and all the generations after him.

That is a wonderful testimony! I wonder if he sees the fruits of his prayers...that great cloud of witnesses...he will be so thrilled.

That's a wonderful thought....yes, the great cloud of witnesses.....and the ones who have gone before us seeing the fruits of their prayers....

Proverbs 14:

This is sooooooo true! God WILL pour out blessings like rain on whoever is of a generous heart. It's like we CAN NOT "out-give" God. And when we give "joyously", well God's just gonna pour out a river of blessings that cannot be contained hahaaaa

As He has said, test me and see:

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." ~Malachi 3:10

Now yes, He might be speaking of "tithes" here, but this also includes "generosity" to the poor, etc. It's like when you give to the poor with a joyous heart, you are "hugging" God. It fits right in to what Jesus said when He said when you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me.

Now THAT is precious.

These are literally "words of LIFE".

The "fear of the Lord" is the "key" to the wisdom enough to "believe" our God and to take seriously what He says, isn't it?
