I have been associated with clinical departments for 40 years, and no doctor in my experience has ever thought worship songs were about them.

OTOH, there is also no doubt that material medicine is effective. The next time you get a broken bone, don't do anything but pray over it and see if it heals correctly. Or the next time your infant child gets an ear infection, be sure to avoid those antiobiotics and just sing praises to God. I'm sure your child will be cured that way [sarcasm].
