It was worth it. I am sick of my past being slammed in my face by this individual like somehow my opinion doesnt matter because I sinned.

No one is slamming. The word is just being used in its correct context. The offensiveness that you are feeling comes from within and demonstrates the inner turmoil you have as a result of your actions. It is a word. Only a word. The excessive emotion you are attaching to it is only your guilt. perhaps in the future when you have truly forgiven yourself and accepted what has happened, then the "Sticks and Stones will break your bones, But WORDS will never hurt you." It is just a word. An accurate word. Don't fret so about a word. Sure it is true, just as the "B" word is for me, but accept it for its definition and go on with life. Don't kick and scream and cause a scene and draw attention to yourself because a simple word incites deeper emotion in you than most other people speaking the same language.

Man you guys type fast...

Why are we talking about me being a cuckold again.. I am not a cuckold, nor have I ever cheat on my wife...

I did have a gf who cheated on me once,,,, I found that out later, but I never slept with her or anything.

Also, I think I should state, I could care less about the word, I just think the attitude behind it is not very appropiate for this website

The "B" word for a female dog is used often in dogging circles. When used as an insult it becomes offensive and gains a totaly different meaning. The other "B" word is also used with a different meaning and is used as an insult. In context, with the correct meaning, people still get offended because they are too sensitive. To p-ansy. And yes, the longer "B" word applies to me when used in context with the correct definition, but I am not going to cry about it. it is true, and it is of none of my doing . I didn't cause it, just as a man whose wife has chosen to give her body to another man is a cuckold. It is non of his own doing, but it is true.

I understand that when the words are used as an insult, they are offensive. they ARE legitimate words however, including Cukhold. shoot, I'm a Cukhold.

I really cain't understand why folks are focusin so much on the precieved negative sides of the word cuckold.... I mean hello!! Does this not say more about the positive side of the man that is still wit his wife?? I take my hat off to a feller who can endure an overcome sumthin as tragic as that. I find the word to be a positive not a negative, an I agree, you call the kettle black for cryin out loud. This whole politically correct stupidity is jes that stupidity, wanna know why? Cause it never stops, you'll never make everbody happy an you'll always have someone bent at some word, I am bent at callin idiots - challenged... their not challenged, their idiots! Folks have GOT to git their feelins off of their shirt sleeves an not worry bout wether er not the OP is obssed wit the use of the word. Really though... good grief, to 'lable' a man a cuckold is to give em high honor in my book, there are many men, jes like the OP was talkin bout who would jump ship, I say good job to the cuckold whoever he may be.

Exactly, and all I am saying is that I was trying to better understand how a man cuckolded could stay with his wife, until some people decided that I was acting to offend, which I wasn't.

My hats off to the guys that stayed with their cheatin wives; I personally could forgive, but I couldn't forget, and I certainly couldn't stay. At that point I must walk on and find my own happiness, because that chapter is over.

You're wrong about me and having guilt and trying to forget. I mean, seriously, don't you think then I would try to cover it up? Never mention that it happened? Avoid all threads on this issue? Yeah, if I were really feeling the way you think then that is how I would act. I try to use my past to help people here, and I am disappointed in your unchristlike attitude.

I'm disappointed she tried to use a Children’s Nursery Rhyme as logical and biblical evidence

You know, in theory, if I was married to my ex, then I would be classified as a cuckold. But since we were not legally married, I don't think there is a word that describes a man who's mate cheated. It is one of the most awful experiences ever, and deserves some light being shed on the subject of couples who move past this severe transgression and violation of trust. It is one of the most despicable thing that a woman, or man can do to their lover or spouse.

While I do believe that everyone is forgiven of their past transgressions, including cheating, I have the same view of women that are perpetrators of affairs as I do someone who recently got out of jail for molestation or aggravated assault; which means that I see that what they did in the past makes them despicable, and they will always have this "stigma" about them that unfortunately can't be changed. While they may be forgiven, their past has already happened and it's something they have to live with.

do you really think that people can't get past it? seriously... My list of friends include former adulterers, liars, cheaters, swindlers, idolaters, harlots, etc... none of that makes them less than what they are now though, redeemed children of God, and equal in his sight.

Of course words can hurt, when used in an offesive context. But that's not what's going on here, it's simply a case of people that prefer that everyone be all PC and peachy because certain words are not sensitive enough.

This is true, we all have our pasts an have to live through em, but we have an accuser of the brethern, the devil an we shouldn't go out of our way to throw stuff up in each others face, I've seen you do it in a round bout way to Leanna, an I have seen Leanna do it to you an it's not what we as Christians should be doin. Our past belongs to God, an if He has forgiven us of our sins then that's the end of it. The only reason it's an issue at all is cause folks won't leave it alone. You ask God for forgiveness an He forgives you, then 5 mins later you ask em, member when I did this er that, an He'll say nope. But what do we end up doin? God has freed us of our burden at the cross an on our way to walk closer wit God, we run by the cross real quick an pick up our burden agin.... seems kinda pointless huh? An I know we're all guilty of doin that.

I can understand a feller er a wife er spouse er whatever you wanna call it not bein reminded of a past transgression etc, an I wouldn't suggest referrin to Bob when you call em on the phone er talkin bout em to someone else go off an say "Hey you know that cuckold over there" Jes cause they 'are' a cuckold, doesn't mean folks need to run em in the ground wit it. To 'be' a cuckold is a great thin IF the transgression has taken place, but I wouldn't suggest runnin out to be first in line to become one either.

Actually You are a Cuckold...

Jesus said "do not sleep with a prostitute, by doing so you are marring her" Tried to find it, couldn't I think it's in Matthew..

But anyhoo, that's part of the Marriage vowel....

So you are technically a Cuckold
