My infatuation with redheads started when I was very young. I'm almost emberassed to say it but when I was Eight I had a crush on Pippy Longstocking. Or the girl who played her in the movie. I also Dig Allyson Hannigan from Buffy and the Girl who plays Donna on That 70's show.

Dude, I fully hear ya on this one. To me Pippi back then was the absolute IDEAL woman. Nobody could compare, she was awesome. And ever since I've always been sorta "mesmerized" by redheads, I love em. Though I've only ever dated two, one was quite like Pippi and the other was more Molly Ringwald.

I never saiid there was anything wrong with it. But I do find the whole concept of devloping feelings for people whom one only knows online very odd. So there was a sense of disbelief. Now if there is more to the relationship other than online encounters, then that is truly a wonderful thing. As far as I am concerned, God can use whatever means He wants to bring two people together, and CF is included. I just could not believe it, that's all.

My mistake, then. And it isn't odd to most people. :) And even if it's only online for now, it is still a wonderful thing! We cannot put limits on God, as you were just saying. So, don't find it odd that people get crushes on others online...find it intriguing. :D You never know who may have one on you....

For His glory!

I have heard from a few guys that they have thing for redheads although it was Lindsay Lohan :D but I do not think she is a red head any longer

As for things developing online or on a baord..nothing wrong with it.. although I tend to think you can only be friends until you meet and so on..

I know that when I have had a cruch I too have went to the place he hangs out or works the most just to see him..

Nothing wrong with it but I do think one should keep his or her feelings in check until a face-to-face meeting actually takes place.

Well like we are all aware everyone lives their lives different, and everyone is allowed to have their own opinion..

But as a MOD I guess people would expect more of a mod then calling members out on a board for something that did not sit right with you.. All our Morals, Ethics and the way we live our lives are different and everyone has to respect that.

Feel free to debate the topic but not the person...

Again just my 2 cents:)

I've had many celebrity crushes.... not many "real life" ones though. I do have one (actually two or three- but one is more promient than the others ;) ) now, had one on a guy in my church (before me moved away on me :p) and before that I had a small crush on one of my professors :D Don't remeber having any )except for one very short lived one) in high school, apart from celebs, of course :)

And I have done that. As you would put it, I was calling out the the notion of online crushes, but I was not condemning those who engage in such behaviour. Like you said, people have their own lives, and have the freedom to live as they choose. To be honest, my initial post was just seeking some sort of clarification. I will be editing it to clarify my opinion.

I don't know. I just think that if you have never had a personal enounter with an invididual, it is not a good idea to have a crush on him or her.

I've had em. They are called crushes because they CRUSH you!!! If it didn't hurt they would be called nummy nummy floofy floo floo suggly yums. I'm on my guard.

I can relate. I have never had a boyfriend, and all of my crushes have landed me in Heartbreak Hotel. As a result I fiercely guard my heart as the Bible instructs me to do.

I disagree. In my case, at least, the things that have attracted me to my crush(Moluku) are things I haven't had to meet her to discover. i.e. Her intelligence, kindness, warped sense of humor, close relationship with God, etc.

My father has always said he knew he would marry my mother the moment he saw her once in church. Most of the people I know who have gotten crushes did so with someoen they'd seen very rarely/not at all and spoken to very little/not at all. Sometimes, as in the case of my parents, it develops into something more as they get to know eachother and sometimes it doesn't. At least I can say mine had developed after I've gotten to know the person.

We're now attempting to find out whether it will lead to something more or not. If it starts to then a physical meeting will most likely be arranged. There's certainly very little danger of one or the other of us declaring our undying love for the other before then.

And now back to the fun, merely half-serious thread this was before it almost started to degenerate into real discussion! :)

Like Zim said, we are resting in the Lord in our decisions. We're just beginning to know each other. But online or what not, I have gotten to know him just the same. And how blessed am I to have had him brought into my life. We are taking things slowly, not making rash decisions, and respecting each other's decisions and feelings. I have a crush on Zim, and I'm happy with that. :)
