I was just wondering if anyone else on here does cross-stitch?

I can crochet & knit too..

But with working full time.. and visiting here.. I find I don't have nearly as much time as I'd like to do the things I'd like to do..

I cross-stitch as well. Right now I am working on finishing a new stocking for my husband. My next project is going to be a christmas angel by lady and lace. It is absolutely beautiful.

I'm in the middle of doing a snakes and ladders board.

Do you find that you have more than one project on the go? I do - i get board otherwise. I basically have a few different ones on the go that are different levels of difficulty.

I love to cross stitch! I prefer counted cross stitch. I get counted cross stitch kits as opposed to using patterns from books. I like the kits because they have everything included...aida cloth, pattern, thread and needle.

I have done a couple of the angels by "Lavender and Lace" plus lots of Christmas pictures. I'm currently working on "Rocky Point" by Dimensions. But I also usually have 2 or 3 going at the same time. About once a year, I try to spend some dedicated time to finish one or two projects...lots of satisfaction in finishing something!

I kinda go in "spurts" because I also love to read. I find I get on a reading kick for several months, then I get on a stitchery kick for several months. Right now, I'm on a reading kick, and since I work full time, I don't have time to do both!

I just bought some bookmarks to cross stitch today, now I just need to find some patterns I like. I haven't decided whether I want to do a cross or a rose...

For bookmarks, do you use Aida cloth or plastic canvas?

I used Aida as i prefer it. the plastic canvas is too solid for me
