lol, I'll be the first guy to admit it...I cross-stitch! :D
I got interested in it about 2 years. I've only completed one project and I'm working on two right now:

I'm almost done with this one:

I purchased this one 3 days ago and it is a monster. It's the Honey Bear at the bottom.

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone else on here does cross-stitch?
I love cross stitching. I'm presently working on a pattern based on the paintings of Thomas Kincaid the 'painter of light', he's a christian and his work is amazing. I think it's amazing that you start with an empty canvas (or in cross stitch talk.. an empty ada)...and before you know it, a beautiful design has been created... it's a good constructive way to pass time and also very relaxing...

The Thomas Kinkade designes are gorgeous. I bought one recently. The only thing is that the one i bought was an embelished one which meant that it had part of the design printed on it when i wanted the enplty canvas

I love it too, I am currently working on a wedding sampler for my cousin who is getting married in November. I also have about 14 projects started, I will finish them all eventually.

My favourite one I did was 'A Treasured Time' by Dimensions Gold. It is truly beautiful. (even if I do say so myself)

I thought that title looked familiar and sure 'nuff, I have it! Haven't started it yet, but glad to know you were pleased with it.

I really need to get back to my stitchery, but I've been on a "reading kick" lately. I work full time, so don't have time to do both!

talking about french knots - i hate doing them - i can't do them, so when i did a cross-sitch of Naoh's Ark that had french knots for all the eyes, i used beads instead and it looks really good and was so much more easier to do!!!

:D sometimes you just start something and then decide you don't like it enough to finish or it's a bit boring to do. That's what happened with the Footprints one i started
That's what happened to me with "Rocky Point". Not sure if I just don't like the picture anymore, or if I just got bored with it. Regardless, I think I can safely say it will never get finished at MY house anyway! :)

I also have a "stash" in a 3-drawer chest in a closet! I think my problem is I enjoy buying the kits and by the time I get around to finishing one and starting another one, my interests have changed!

I went through the drawers a few months ago and sold a lot of the kits on ebay. When going through the drawers, I noticed most of the things I have and absolutely love are Christmas pictures. I didn't get rid of those, but I'm not sure I'll ever get them all finished in my lifetime!

I keep looking at "A Treasured Time" since it was mentioned. I'll probably work on that one now. Thanks for this thread! It's gotten me all inspired again!
