Creationist Forum?

Would it be good to create a creationists only forum?

  • I am a creationist and I believe it would be good

  • I am a creationist and I don't believe it would be good

  • I am not a creationist and I believe it would be good

  • I am not a creationist and I don't believe it would be good

  • I really don't care either way

But don't you see your point is valid but the execution in the form of tkster's website is misguided.

His forum basically fixes things from the start. On CF there is much disagreement between evolutionists and Creationists but the forum itself isn't the cause of that. In fact the Creationists get away with more slurs on here than the evolutionists if you ask me since many of the Mods if you check their profiles are YEC.

The forum you are pointing too has the management in on the vitriol from the start as exhibited by the owners posts and rules.
when i came here and went to the debate section, i too thought this was an atheist forum. i would not blame one to think that. much hostility exists here against yecs and i think that is wrong. obviously others think that as well from the looks of this thread.

The only people who claim this board is atheist are whiners who cannot handle anything but their minority viewpoint within Christianity. It's that simple, so they resort to calling anybody who is not a nth degree literalist an atheist just to make themselves feel better.
then u should be the one who loves this place. some people want to discuss issues about creation theory amongst ourselves as evos are quite angry and hateful sometimes.

Okay, I'll provide the link, but I know the auther does not want theistic evolutionists or evolutionists around. He says he "tolerates" a few of them now and then.

Please don't let me get in trouble though by being a troll. If you aren't sincere, just stay away. Also, make sure to say "tuffstuff" referred you as I get points for doing so. -tuff
it looks like it could be an interesting site, if you want only one side, but rule one is contains slanderous, erroneous information, so why trust anything on the site--I thought someone told me Creationists didn't lie?
Rule 1 from skeptictimes.golivewire.com:
"If you would like to go to a site that is hostile to Christians and run by atheists, I suggest christianforums.com. "

yeah, i think i said earlier his friend ran into some trouble here. when i first came here in the "debate" section, i thought CF was run by atheists too. perhaps he never saw this place. some people might get the wrong impression here and could possibly think this is an atheist site.

hello new friend, welcome to CF. I have witnessed some hostility towards TE's. But having been here a while, here's my take.
Never in my life have I been anyplace where I was so insulted by other Christians as here, in this forum. I have no problem with other's beliefs--I welcome differences, truly I do. But in the words here, I have been told repeatedly that I am not a real Christian, or that my faith is weak, or that I don't really believe in the Bible, or that I value men over God or....or...or...
Never did I think I would have to defend myself from attacks by other Christians because I didn't agree with their interpretation of 2 chapters of the Bible. You would think I was the devil. And so, even with me--who values diversity in beliefs among Christians, I have gotten fed up and will challenge people who make those claims harder than is normal. So the hostility for me began in the other direction.
God Bless

don't think i'm saying this is an ahteist site. i am saying if one goes to the wrong place they might get that impression. perhaps the author never came to the right place and thus thought this place was lying or something. that's the problem with these places, sometimes you don't know who's being honest and who's not.

hello again new friend, I think you may have missed my point---problem is, that is not a valid excuse. It simply calls into question the facts he may post in relation to "proofs" of creation, or "evils" of evolution. If he doesn't have his facts straight when he posts them--why trust what he says at all?

THAT's the point
and by the way, I mean no disrespect to you--what I am saying is that without the other side--going back to the OP, would it be beneficial to have a good discussion if there is no balance from the other side?

yeah but as i said. i've been a member for over a week and didn't find this place for a while. if he never found this place i bet he would have thought atheists ran this place. i sure did for a while. either way, i can see why with all the hostility he thinks something is up.

Let me say this in another way--not to convince you, but to explain better
In rule one of that forum, there is a statement that is false, erroneous, and even slanderous--you, yourself, seem to agree that now that you've been here a while--it's not true--you suggest that it just takes a while to find the "right" spot to know it is a Christian site, right?
So, if rule one contains errors--by intent or not--then why would you place trust in the words he says about creation vs. evolution--if he were an expert or a scientist--his work would be discredited and viewed with great skepticism (forget the irony of that word vs. the name of the site).
so, my point is, wouldn't this be the case in a Creationists only subforum (having no one to balance the information.)?

u never know exactly what occured. what i think is of interest is that he made a statement about here, and yet no one has thought of asking where he got it from. as far as we know, he could be telling the truth. what i see is people judging but not asking the person "what is his basis for the statement." as far as we know, he may or may not have a basis for such a statement.

OK, but you yourself seem to discredit the statement, so does it matter where it came from--it's inaccurate. And since I DO believe it to be inaccurate--show me how this site is run by athiests--I question it--I'm not sure how you cannot--but that's your business--and I respect your right to disagree

u have proven my point. that is why if one makes the claim we must find out why. if i ask the author and he tells me why, then i can know why he made his claim. and i have.
