Creationist Forum?

Would it be good to create a creationists only forum?

  • I am a creationist and I believe it would be good

  • I am a creationist and I don't believe it would be good

  • I am not a creationist and I believe it would be good

  • I am not a creationist and I don't believe it would be good

  • I really don't care either way

If that's true I respect you for that. I'm sure you can imagine how frustating it can be to try talking to each other and then someone, over and over again, starts a debate out of it. But thanks anyways:) !
Like you intrude in evolution or science discussions in the open science forum?

It's not a good idea because creationism has traditionally thrived only in the dark. Whenever creationism has been introduced into public schools, it has been done so behind closed doors away from scrutiny. Whenever such scrutiny has been applied, the vast majority of Christians have demanded that creationism be taken out of public schools and the laws or education standards for creationism be removed.

Christianity is about light, not darkness. If the idea can't stand public discussion, then maybe it's not a good idea.

Hello fellow candler. It's good to see a friend like you around here. I have read the last several posts in different threads in this forum you have posted. I struggled at first in trying to discover which philosophy you hold to--TE, OEC, etc. I think you are a TE, is this right?

Have I intruded in threads that call for evolutionists only? Have there been threads that said "Tes only" or "calling all OECs" or "can I have an evolutionists opinion" where I have stuck my nose in? I don't think I have but if you can prove otherwise...

And what about those GAP theorists?

Or those who are vehemently opposed to evolution, but accept an old earth, like the "Reason to Believe" ministry?

Or those who accept evolution of creatures over a long time period, but who insist upon a Special Creation for humans?
I have posted a 'manifesto' to get the ball rolling earlier in this thread. I believe it reflects what most Christians labelled YEC's believe. That definition would exclude those who believe in creation in other than a literal six days.

I'd be interested in some discussion on the comments previously posted. Now is probably the time to voice your thoughts on the matter, if it is likely such a forum goes ahead.

Could that manifesto be called a statement of faith? Churches use the same thing and expect due respect in observance with the document.

I imagine the thoughts of someone who believes in theisitic evolution might be welcome as long as they didn't become confrontational. I no I have toyed with some of the God of the gaps philosophies and I think the earth actually being created well before special creation of living creatures is compatable with creationism. Just a thought, don't toss me out on my ear before the forum is even started.

Actually, I joined a forum for Creationists only. It's not at this site though. But I like it a lot better. There are places, and I found the perfect one. If Creationists are interested they can always ask or something. Either way, I understand that this place can be hostile sometimes.
Could you provide a link. I'd be grateful.

Likewise, until someone pointed out the passage in Exedus 20. Kinda killed off that idea.

Do you have a link for that? I'm sure people here would be interested.

Okay, I'll provide the link, but I know the auther does not want theistic evolutionists or evolutionists around. He says he "tolerates" a few of them now and then.

Please don't let me get in trouble though by being a troll. If you aren't sincere, just stay away. Also, make sure to say "tuffstuff" referred you as I get points for doing so. -tuff

ROTFLMAO,

That guy posts on here. But in his rules he says CF is run by atheists. That's funny because overall I would say CF has more Mods who are pretty fundamental than anything else and to even be a Mod you must be Christian. So it seems even in his rules of his forum he lies. Way to go!

I looked at the site. A lot of insults even in the rules and guidelines. And the guy who runs it seems clueless in his posts on here. On his site he lauds Walt Brown's books which is the nadir of Creationism. Even ICR and AIG don't give Walt much attention since he is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in right field.

good then it is people like you that should avoid it. he is open to any creationist, but people like you, stay away. learn how to respect others.

Why does he not respect others? I think some of the Mods on here are questionable but I don't see the rules and guidelines or posts from the site owner insulting people from the get go.
what i was told is that it was not he, but his friend who discovered this. either way, since many evolutionists do not respect creationists i think it is fair this is a forum for vice versa.

But don't you see your point is valid but the execution in the form of tkster's website is misguided.

His forum basically fixes things from the start. On CF there is much disagreement between evolutionists and Creationists but the forum itself isn't the cause of that. In fact the Creationists get away with more slurs on here than the evolutionists if you ask me since many of the Mods if you check their profiles are YEC.

The forum you are pointing too has the management in on the vitriol from the start as exhibited by the owners posts and rules.
