  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Creationism and evolution.

See, here is the attack again.
So what? Do you mean we CAN NOT teach our kids about science with the information about Creationism? Who are you to say that?
Creationism is not a science. I would not expect a maths teacher to teach english lit to his maths class, nor a music teacher to teach his class the history of the french revolution, so why are you asking for science teachers to teach religion?

It is closely related to science.
This would be off the topic, but if you name one piece of info of Creationism (ANY one), I will argue strongly that it is VERY IMPORTANT to science.

Yes. It is used to BAN Creationism. The motivation can not be more clear.

Since when is creationism banned?

You are allowed to believe in creationism, correct?
You are allowed to teach your kids creationism, correct?
You church is allowed to teach creationism, correct?
No one stops Kenny Ham from preaching creationism, correct?

So, show me how creationism is banned.

As has been asked, please demonstrate that creationism is a science.

Why can creationists say any derogatory thing they like about evolution but no one is allowed to say anything derogatory about creationism?
Why does creationism require so much protection but evolution require none?
Surely if something is true it will still be true no matter what anyone says about it, evolution is the prime example of that.

If Darwinism were true, there'd be no neo-Darwinism or neo-neo-Darwinism. Keep adding the 'neos' to the previous errors of science.
