One has repented genuinely if one is truly sorry seeking the Lord and this is proven by God allowing him to find the truth and having true repentance he must be given opportunity to repent to be able to obey all what one can do to make sure one has left all sins and fulfilled all the commandments.
It could be possible however true repentance could happen without having opportunity to do all things if one is truly sorry and God alone can decide if the person has truly repented and is really sorry and for Him to grant repentance to a person who seeks Him but that may not be promised for Jesus says many are called but few are chosen so it is expected one finds the opportunity to do all Christ commandments
the bible says seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. If one purposely delays one could seek the Lord and yet die before he finds the truth and repents
I was thinking can a person repent just in the last second I suppose one can but it may not be genuine in last second
I thought can it be too late for a person if one does seek repentance while one can to make sure one is able to fully do the will of God before one dies
I was just not sure whether I should promote if it can be too late for a person if he did not fulfill all works one needs to do before one dies if he is not living in Christ if it is always possible to repent and meet conditions of gospel if there is true repentance I want to believe salvation is always possible but why then did Jesus say we need to be watchful.
Should one teach baptism as required as far as we know and maybe communion too as necessary to give life to have it if it is always available incase Jesus meant one needs to eat Him in an ordinance to commune with Him though it may not be what Jesus meant so it may not be necessary
I know some do not believe works are necessary but I want to be convinced
I read the below and I thought it may be true
The Prodigal Son: 12 Things You Didn’t Know
Lesson 5: God's grace is not in addition to anything, writes Dasher. “The reason that man misses salvation is not because he fails to keep a specific list of rules and laws, but because he fails to see God as a loving and forgiving God who expressed (with the ultimate gift) His love for us (II Thess. 1:5-9; Rom 5:6-8). Man is lost because he fails to see his complete spiritual poverty, and so refuses to turn to his loving God.”
People must beware of being trapped by the lies of legalism that people may teach that do not have enough trust in the mercy of God
any true repentance is always accepted the older son the legalist is also accepted if he does not know what he is doing if he is not choosing to exclude his brother on purpose.
if everyone can be saved in their last moments then what is the harm of delaying repentance?
I think there is no promise for sinners that they will live long and that the time they have remaining is easy to find oil though possible if they strive really hard. If God is patient it is because there are many righteous people praying but in the bible it says even if Job or Noah or Daniel were to pray He would not be patient to a people or person if He sees there is no hope
maybe if they are very wicked already having had many chances we do not know how many chances we had. I don't mean to say so to cause despair because it could be God is patient because we did not have many chances but I don't know if that is the case
The below may not be true because it it is best to assume it is very difficult to be saved at the end than from the beginning
if a person has no good works but then later puts his faith in Christ alone to save him now in this moment he can be saved because the work of God is to believe on Him whom He sent the oil of the wise virgins is to get the faith to put your trust in Christ for salvation to forgive all your previous sins but faith without works is dead so you need to confess to others you have put your trust in Christ and does what good you can do with remaining time as you read bible God will prepare good works for you to follow as you look for opportunities to follow the gospel
And about previous offenses you can confess all your sins to God and ask for opportunity to do good
No one knows when he will die and if he will find opportunity to repent
