6.1 doesn't count (too small / too frequent / two days too early)

Latest Earthquakes in the World - Past 7 days

Formatting messes up and I don't have time to fix it right now so you will have to see the earthquake list on the USGS site.

Thanks for the video! Loved it although don't believe all parts of it.

The new ager's math / reasoning is flawed and some of his conclusions are flawed as well. I also believe something is strange about c/2010 x1 (Elenin) although not what the new ager believes. I did like listening to his views though - as well as the views of Andre Hendricks (Christian producer of the video) Mr. Hendrick's views and beliefs about comet Elenin I believe are probably mostly true although he had some (minor} inaccuracies (compass does not point to true north but to magnetic north - magnetic north changes over time, etc.)

Does Elenin mean ELEvinNINe (11/9) ? That's the day asteroid 2005 YU55 is closest to the earth (and closer to earth than the moon is) Coincidence?

These comet things, do we need telescopes or just a decent naked eye?

I have seen pics done using cell phones, the pic is downloaded and veiwed through some kind of filter and you can see this comet. Theres also many photos done with a reg. camera with a sun filter on them and the comet can be seen also. I'm not really sure you can 'see' it unless you know exactly where to look. That super nova we had been seeing at night with the naked eye was spectacular though, did anyone happen to see it?

Some you do and some you don't. If I have to leverage my visual senses for a comet I don't bother with it.

I've been blessed to see two comets which put on a good show with no 'scopes required:

4 quakes hit Guatemala

Mount Tabora is rumbling in Indonesia; killed 90,000 in 1815, and also darkened the skies.

Notice the order of events.

Matthew 24:29-30; Immediately after the tribulation of those days(remember tribulation first to the Jew, then to the Gentiles) the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be shaken:

30. "Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

I believe a GREAT EARTHQUAKE shall mark the parting of the way, and could very well darken the sun and the moon with volcanic ash.

I was thinking of something more along these lines:

I got to see Halley's (very fortunate) and Hale-Bop too.

I wonder what doomsday people thought of Shoemaker-Levy 9.

I remember seeing Haley's in '86 I believe it was, in the dead of winter, in a freezing cold observatory where the hot chocolate we were offered turned into melted chocolate ice cream! I have a certificate from it around somewhere, was it really that long ago?!

Anyway, just wanted to add since the OP asked. :)

I heard on the radio this morning that a satellite is scheduled to crash back to earth sometime between tomorrow (Sept 22) and Saturday (Sept 24). They have no idea where it's going to come down, nice huh? Said the possibilities they have calculated of it striking someone, 1 in 3200. I don't like those odds too much.

Also has anyone noticed something off about the Sun? In the house were I live I know where the sun hits at certain times of the year and time of day. (When you are paying attention to the sun instead of the clock on Fridays awaiting Shabbat, you notice these things.) I also know exactly where on my dining room wall the sun falls on Passover. This past year it seems to have moved somewhat.

Now of course that is a matter of perspective, I don't think the Sun has moved, but we have moved from our observation point.

Which means the earth has moved.

I took a look around and found this dated from March 2011

NASA: Japan quake shortened Earth’s day, shifted axis

The 9.0 magnitude earthquake that ravaged Japan also shortened Earth's day by just over one-millionth of a second (1.8 microseconds to be exact), according to NASA. It also shifted the Earth's axis by about 6.5 inches.
It makes you wonder how with all these earthquakes we are having will we still keep spinning as we were or are we on a collision course with a Earth axis flip?

The Asteroid 2011 CQ1 made the closest pass by Earth without hitting it in recorded history - 3,400 miles on 2/4/2011. By doing so and being so close of a pass it has changed it's orbit forever scientists say Space.com

It was discovered only 14 HOURS before the fly by.

It's close encounter changed its orbit to being outside our planets orbit, to inside Earths orbit.

All these changes remind me of this
