THE WORM MUST TURN


Like rags covered in stinking mud
Is righteousness within
For since our birth beats nothing good
Except a heart of sin

From Adam, yet this stench remains
From which, God turns His face
So each must suffer toil and pains
Without the state of grace

What can we do what can we say?
Why have such things to be?
What can we find to take away?
The evil God can see

That God still gives today

The Ancient Days remain the same
Just like the days gone by
If man would trust in Jesus’ name
Their souls would never die

Who now submit to Jesus’ powers
Who’ll drink His blood like wine
Will say God’ s righteousness is ours
Through Jesus love divine

God’s holy will man’s heart should learn
Till eyes no more are blind
Their worm within would surely turn
And seek what else to find

For death to man would lose it’s sting
Life’s pains would disappear
Heaven would hear glad voices sing
God’s praise from hearts full cheer”

I’M LAME NOT DEAD (1)


Though lame I sit within my chair
With pain in bed I lie
Through Jesus love and tender care
I’ve ceased to wonder why

I wake each day and take my cross
In faith I rest my soul
My gain is Christ I bear no loss
In Him I’m more than whole

God’s way is often hard to tread
Yet truth I hold in view
Whilst night to some brings fear and dread
My dawn brings life anew

Malformed perhaps, but no one’s fool
Of God I ask no more
Just by His grace this uncut jewel
May enter Heaven’s Door

For in The Lord I’m wholly sealed
In Christ I have my fill
If in this world I’m never healed
Within the next I will

All flesh will fall will see decay
Will turn in time to dust
But I’ll be healed on glory day
On this I’ve placed my trust

It’s Christ alone who’s set me free
Who saves and keeps from hell
Can God not use a child like me
Like those now fit and well

I may not see as good as some
I may not walk as most
But I’m not called to sit here dumb
With Jesus’ Holy Ghost…

“I’m often asked if God I blame
If for my birth I curse
But most who ask still walk in shame
And that is far much worse

Not all in Christ find quick release
Though cleansed and free of stain
From fear of death I’ve such a peace
Though still the pains remain

It’s just my flesh that’s bent and weak
In Christ my spirit’s strong
God’s not a man who sees a freak
That sings in praise His song

He sees a child who had a need
A lamb that went astray
Who sought His Son on which to feed
His help to find The Way

It’s not the blind that cannot see
The dead who fail to live
But fools who think a child like me
Has nought through Christ to give

God gave with love a quickened mind
A faith to move all doubt
To see The Truth through eyes once blind
And know what love’s about

Now with this love my soul can fly
I move as none before
Though in a chair I’m soaring high
And won’t come down no more

Take hold of faith both whole and lame
Let Jesus touch your eyes
Allow His Flame purge free of shame
Then like an eagle rise”…

Who hears the heart and soul of man
Who sees what each contains
Who knows what night and day we plan
What time for us remains


Who hears an autumn leaf’s descent
Each snowflake’s sad demise
The inner thoughts when men repent

Repentance, births from deep within
Suckling truthful breast
Nurtured to turn away from sin
That Satan sends as guest


Where spiritual eyes, truth behold
Where wisdom may abide

When Light came forth to earth
When Jesus opened eyes once blind
To give us second birth


A second chance to change our ways
Make God our prime desire
To love each other all our days

All free to Jesus’ chosen queen

I HEARD A VOICE


Last week my room was full of light
Then someone called my name
I thought it strange as though it might
Have come within a flame

It seemed alive and strangely bright
I know it sounds absurd
I thought I’d dreamed this awesome sight
Until the voice was heard

The voice I heard I know was real
It came to me so near
Then on my skin I thought to feel
The fire that burned in here

I heard the voice again last night
Clear as a mountain stream
It seemed to set my soul alight
I know it was no dream

The speaker yet I failed to see
Though peace I felt within
“I’ve come my child to set you free
From all your wicked sin

I’ll wash away your waward past

SELFRIGHTEOUS ME?


Me... go to church would be in vain
There’s nothing more to see
At home I’ve so much more to gain
The church has nought for me

Of course I’m saved I testify
I witness those I meet
I know The Lord won’t let me die
Like those still on the street

But frequent church I have no need
God hears at home my prayer
I have inside Salvation’s Seed
Through which I’ll have my share

I’ve no more need to go to church
I know the truth and more!
Heaven won’t leave me in the lurch
Nor close to me life’s door

No need to tell me where to go
Nor how I ought to pray
I have more knowledge in my toe
Than most of you today

Self-righteous me Oh no my friend
It’s just you fail to see
So don’t you judge and then pretend
You’re more like Christ than me

Allow me live as I see fit
I know God’s wealth I’ve got
Now go along and do your bit
With that righteous lot

I know of God I know the law
I’ve heard of judgement day
I know it all and so much more
So just be on your way…
