That's not really "attending" church. That's more like "watching" church. I don't think church was supposed to be a spectator event.

For some, that is all we have.

Some people who have serious health issues are opting to stay home from church during a pandemic and watch online services.

I, cannot attend church because of my divorce decree giving my ex-wife the final say on where my children attend church, and since she doesn't like my church and will only allow me to attend her chosen church, I don't attend church. I have my kids every weekend.

There is good reasons why people do not attend church.

Misleading? How? It simply reported the results of doing just about everything wrong.
I tried to explain that that account was -- shall we say, "hyped up."

No one should respect that sort of thing, no matter where he stands on masking and vaccinations, etc.

So you think nothing is proven unless you personally experience it first-hand? That seems overly skeptical to me.
Maybe "overly trusting" isn't the right description. Maybe you just overstate stuff.

There’s actual mega-churches…the next time a “mega-strip club” opens I’m sure that the restrictions will be similar.
Is that like with XXXL strippers?

For sure, but think of what impact your ex's church is missing out because you aren't there!

There are many churches that closed down and haven't really re-opened. There are some churches that might need to push back on illegal regulations government has imposed. Maybe some pastors need new congregants, because the ones they have know all that he has to tell them. There are lots of new congregants in prison.

There is no impact as I never went to her church.

I will only go to liturgical churches, she does not want our kids going to a liturgical church.

I'm suggesting you could have a positive impact at her church. Maybe they need some liturgical influence. Maybe your children will see that you are making the best of a difficult situation, treating others with love and kindness, and they will learn so much from that. Sometimes God will use us when we are required to be in a difficult situation, forced on us by someone else. Think Joseph and the influence he had on his brothers who hated him enough to sell him into slavery, not to mention the influence he had on the whole world.

No thanks. She moved an hour away and I will not go to her non-denominational church.

They see that every time they are with me as that is how I am without having to go to her church.

Thank you for your responses, but I will not go to her church. She has remarried, and he doesn't want me at their church anyway, not that I would ever go.

What is it important to you that your kids go to a liturgical church? My good friend Screwtape wants to know!

For me? Yes. I will not attend a non-liturgical service.

Everyone has their preferences or absolutes for church, and this is mine.

Maybe convictions are a better word for absolutes. Either way, I have my reasons, and after speaking with my priest, he is fine with them and says God is as well.

Are democratic luncheons the same thing as those BLM protests during the summer of 2020? Never a peep about masking or super spreaders concerning those, but then I suppose, why rock the boat when those were mostly peaceful anyway.

The propaganda arm of the government is always expanding.
So the BLM protests were outdoors, with masks. Pelosi’s fundraiser was outdoors, and most of not all ppl were vaxxed. Why would you compare that to unmasked, mostly unvaccinated indoor gatherings and expect to be taken seriously?

Strip clubs were deemed essential and allowed to remain open while churches were commanded by state governments to close...
Are you referring to the Republican appointed judge who ruled that strip clubs could open despite the Democratic Governor’s mandate? Or is this a thing outside of that one case in San Diego?

Well, there are voices demanding masks be worn outside as well as inside, you know. But if those examples seem defective to you, we can just as well point to Pelosi's indoor hair appointment, Barack Obama's big birthday party, the dinner gatherings of the Governors of California, Rhode Island, and Michigan which featured unmasked participants, and a number of other such INDOOR gatherings of unmasked people. You CAN take them seriously.

Pelosi’s hair appointment was a super spreader now? LOL.

Hard to be sure with that one, I agree; but if that is the only one on my hastily-created list of examples you can fault, you might as well also admit that you didn't have much of an argument anyway.

I don’t know anything about a couple of them, think Newsome and Pelosi are both hypocrites for their respective incidents, and don’t believe that any of what you listed were superspreaders.
