That is correct.

The worship follows from a post-resurrection realisation of who he is, as per Thomas in John 20.

He is the One God. All you've proved is that you haven't got your head around the idea of Trinity, or that Jesus is, at the same time, God incarnate, fully human, Messianic King, Israel incarnate, prophet-like-Moses, etc. You've treated some of those as either/ors when they are both/ands. An idea that is there in proto-form in the very earliest Christian texts - Paul's letters - before any of the gospels were written.

Prove trinity. If your forcing me to believe and blindly accept
1+1+1=1 sorry I cannot believe because all I have learned is 1+1+1=3

Even Christians themselves do not understand the concept of Trinity and that's the biggest reason why they turn away from Christianity.

I give you an example. As human being,we can only one relationship with that person.

Your mother can only be a wife to your father. She cannot be a mother to your father.

You can only be the son to your father, you cannot be a father nor a grandfather to your father.

So if that is the case with us,how can you say Jesus pbuh is the son of God and God himself?

You need to explain further on the subject of trinity.
And don't use the example of egg, apple, tree or family as they all can easily be disapprove. :)

I mean that I am not a Jew living in 2nd Temple Judaism, let alone Son of God in the sense that Jesus is. My calling is to continue my little bit of that post-resurrection story in my time and place, not try to reproduce a one off set of actions that were appropriate to a different time and place (and that I couldn't do anyway). We aren't called to copy Jesus, we are called to continue his work.
Continuing what work?I do not see nayone continuing his work.I can obviously see people inventing and claiming it is Jesus' work

All people fall short. Some more than others.

Your "solution" is cultural, not the problem.

It would be inappropriate because the food laws, along with others, were about keeping Israel separate until Jesus' resurrection. With the resurrection the time for that separation is over.

Scripture, all the way through, condemns drunkeness for the problems it brings but condones appropriate use of alcohol.
Jesus created wine at the wedding at Cana, Isaiah uses wine at feasts as a symbol of the world put right, Paul recommends wine to his friend Timothy, Jesus makes a drink of wine part of the means of participation in his life, death and resurrection, ...
Well what he pbuh did was limitation in the usage of wine. Not excessive use in wine.
What about beer.Is it allowed as well?

When you read the bible you need to understad that, unlike the Koran, it is not supposed to be a timeless set of statements, but an ongoing story with context. Paul's letters aren't timeless reflections on Christian behaviour - they are letters to particular churches struggling with particular issues in their particular time and place. A woman with her hair down in Corinth in AD50 symbolises something you don't want symbolised.
Well if your gonna bring Paul in and your claiming that you belive in what Paul said, then I have to totaly reject your statement. The whole world knows about Council of Nicaea.

Quran was sent step by step.It takes years and was revealed according to past, present and future. That's the reason you can see in the beginning certain things like alcohol is allowed, then with limitation of usage then total forbidden.

In Islam,Alcohol is the mother of all evil.

Because Christianity's view of Jesus is not equivalent to your idea of Muhammad,
Of course it isn't because we do not worship the prophet but we worship The Creator Himself :)

nor Christianity's idea of the bible equivalent to your idea of the Koran.
Of course Bible is not equivalent to Quran as Quran is the word of The Creator and it is still being preserved until today from having multiple wrong translations and man's opinion.

Jesus didn't come to teach us some rules, he came to change the world and invite us to become part of that change.
How can he change when he himself asked to follow the prophet after him?He pbuh did came to warn you and teach you rules and to live a civilized life.

Nice post though.Thank you.:wave::wave::wave::wave:

If a signal object has Length (1)+ Width (1)+ Height(1) how many objects does that equal?

God built the trinity into the whole of creation. Everything in reality has three dimensions to it, just as God does. If you wanted to see it, it has always been there.

If you want me to see.prove it.you cannot just give examples and thsi examples you make it equivalent to The Creator.astafirullah.The Creator suppose to be unique and you cannot give examples and describe Him with something that you can see touch and feel on this Earth.

when you began to do so,then that is not God.

So now your comparing your god to a box?with length=1 width=1 and height=1

so your god is a box?astafirullah al athim

The Creator is a supernatural power that you cannot compare Him to anything.learn the concept of God please.

112.004 And there is none like unto Him.

If you are comparing your God to any objects then I would say there is no difference between Christianity,Hinduism,Buddhism and other polytheist religion that worship idols.

If you were to do preaching to someone,is this the best you could do?You are forcing them to feel and visulaise something that they can't.All you can do is give proofs.

first prove that Bible is the word of God,then anything mention in Bible will be considered true.

How can you proof that Bible is the word of God when it has been changed by human and the council and it was written down by man according to their own understanding.
If you were to tell me that"It is word of God and it is up to you how you look at it"
then you are not a good preacher.

Human these days are so smart to ask for proofs.People ask tons of proof from quran and quran provided all the proofs that other scripture do not have.yet people reject quran in the name of racism not because they find quran is not valid or quran is not the word of God.

A person who truly reads the quran will never ever reject it.all they will do is to accept it with an open heart.

So i suspect some of you who claim read the quran or i shall say LOOK the quran.

If some claim he read the quran, I shall ask him again"did you read with arrogance and racism feeling in your heart"?

Many Muslims read the Bible let it be OT or NT and they MEMORIES EACH VERSE AND EACH TRANSLATION.

do Christians do the same?:)

Have a good day and Thank you for your post.:wave::wave:

Good questions!

To the first, that dealing with the 10 Commandments, I have only one answer: they exist to show hummanity that we cannot follow God's law. They prove we are unworthy of His love and grace. They prove we need a savior.

I understand if you dislike this answer, but questions often have answers we dislike.

As per the Trinity, I again have only one answer: I can't explain it because my God is incomprehensible. If I understood all of God, He wouldn't be God. God tells us He is three in one, therefore I trust Him.

God bless you in your search.

IMO this is an apologetic debate outside the remit of this forum, so I'm withdrawing from posting.

I asked a Supervisor about this and she basically said you are right. So in that regard, I am also withdrawing from posting in this thread. I certainly don't want to step outside the boundaries of this forum and site rules. I'm not sure which forum would be appropriate for such a discussion though. I would be willing to continue our discussion through private messages, newborn2007, if you are willing to do that.

Either you completely misunderstand what it is I'm trying to say or your desperately trying to change the topic, either way I answered your question. you asked how can 1+1+1=1? My example was designed to show how you how one Person place or Thing can contain 3 separate but equal aspects, and yet still be one person place or thing.

I also paired my personal belief, with the observation that Because God is the Father of all creation, all of creation echos with His signature. In that all people places or things in this plain of existence do indeed have 3 separate aspects to every one single object.

These objects are not God. God is not a box. But at the same time all of creation is of God. Meaning God created everything, and in the whole of creation He has shown us how 3 separate things can form one signal object. All of Creation literally screams to the Trinity of God.

If you were to do preaching to someone,is this the best you could do?You are forcing them to feel and visualize something that they can't.All you can do is give proofs.

first prove that Bible is the word of God,then anything mention in Bible will be considered true.

This is not what you asked originally. You said:

Prove trinity. If your forcing me to believe and blindly accept
1+1+1=1 sorry I cannot believe because all I have learned is 1+1+1=3

My 3 line response was designed to show you how 1+1+1=1 No more no less.

Why do you think that I was trying to "prove" anything else?

A person who truly reads the quran will never ever reject it.all they will do is to accept it with an open heart.

Which version?

Many Muslims read the Bible let it be OT or NT and they MEMORIES EACH VERSE AND EACH TRANSLATION.

do Christians do the same?

We are told that the words of scripture are placed within our Hearts. You can know what the bible says, and still not understand what it means. Those who claim memory of the words and yet do not have a simple understanding of the bible profit nothing.

It is a wiser to aspire to seek a simple understanding of the bible and yield to that understanding over that small portion, than it is to know what the whole of scripture says word for word, and still be lost to sin.

What good is a big tree that produces no fruit?
It will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So will all who know, and yet do not yield to God.

I am a bit surprise to those claim they are Christians but do not obey the Ten Commandments.
I know what it is and it's command from

Exodus 20:2–17

Deuteronomy 5:6–21

Exodus 34:11–27

My question is WHY Christians reject these Ten Commandments.

I am not looking for personal opinion here.I am looking for facts that allows you to disobey the Ten Commandments.

If you do not know what is Ten Commandments and what it says, please do some research before posting here.

:wave::wave::wave::wave:
True Christians do keep the ten commandments.
Most people who appropriate the name of Christ are pseudo christians.

The commandments cannot be kept by man. If man were able to keep the commandments then Jesus would not have been sent for our salvation because salvation would be the culmination of our acts. Scripture (NT specifically) says quite the opposite. When you are saved you are forgiven by Grace alone, and it is known by God that you will sin again even after you commit your life to Him.

Well,I wasn't expecting anyone to most again since we were having conflicts but now I can see some truth began to come out.

I do not want to interfere when two Christians do not agree with each other. If anyone would like to have further discussion, you may do so via pm .I don't want irresponsible people to use my thread as an insult medium as some of you have been doing so.

The difference between you and me is that

  • I accept your scripture even there are many contradictions and I can prove it.
  • I respect Jesus pbuh and honor him as how I respect and honor Muhammad pbuh.
  • I still respect all of you as The People of The Book and I did apologize privately to some of you when I realize that I have been harsh.
  • I have never insult your religion or your prophet but some of you did insult me,my prophet pbuh and my religion.I saw some other threads in CF how they talk about Islam. But you can never find the same insult towards Christianity in an Islamic forum
I have a big request here. Please,if you truly love Jesus pbuh, follow what he said and follow his footsteps.Let him be proud of you.

Christianity is not a brand or a principle as you can accept and reject as you like.Christinity is beyond that and Jews and Muslims know it very well but unfortunatley the real follower of Christinity failed to understand the real meaning conveyed by Jesus pbuh.

I have hundreds of proofs for all my claims in my threads and posts but what you saw not even 1/4 of what I want to say.

I understand there are many Non Christians in this forum and it is not appropriate for me to discuss certain things publicly.

If anyone of you want to continue the discussion in a very highly respected manner,be my guest :)

It is my pleasure to have discussion with you.We can't prove who is right and who is wrong. But with the scriptures both of us have,we shall know and decide what is wrong and what is right.

So I am not going to post anything here anymore. If you want to ask me anything, please do so via pm :)

Have a great day and happy weekend :)

:wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:

I did not see the "mod hat on" post, so I am not sure why there is talk about closing this thread. But then I didn't take time to read through everything I just skimmed it.
But I don't want to argue, but to simply add a few of my thoughts:

I would like to point out that very very few people (regardless of belief, protestants or 7th day adventists) observe the first two commandments:

We are supposed to "love the Lord God with all heart soul and mind"

Do you know many who obey the first? (that means: to love completely, in an utmost way, seeking God first above all else)

How about: love your neighbor as yourself? Do you know very many who obey the second?

So it was my observation that although Christians believe the Bible, they don't actually follow what it says (not all, but majority).
It's also been my observation that although 7th day adventists claim to follow the ten commandments, they did not yet follow the first two (just like the rest of the Christians).

Christians are supposed to follow the 10 commandments, but in a different form. Not the one that was given under the law, but the one that Jesus brought: "love does no harm to its neighbor, therefore love is the fullfillment of the law"

The law shows how to treat people nice and so do the 10 commandments. If we treat people nice and if we love God (for real) then we obey the 10 commandments.

On the other hand, the specific ten commandments which are listed in the old testament came from the law. Although most of them we have to follow becasue it's covered under "do unto others as you want them to do unto you", there is a part that is law based, the Sabbath.

Paul in the Bible is teaching that we do not live under the law anymore, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

When Jesus came people said: "what is this new teaching that he brought"?

Jesus brought a new teaching. It was different from the law that God gave to the Jews. Jesus proved it by saying: you do not take the old wine and put into new skins...
In other words: you don't mix the old religion (the law) with the new (by faith).

In Galatians Paul is saying: why are you returning back to the law?

If the Sabbath was important, Paul would have mentioned keeping it (for future generations) but he didn't.

Jesus said: I came to fulfill the law. That means - to make it come true IN JESUS. For example, a sacrificial lamb was a part of the law. But Jesus fulfilled the law by being that sacrificial lamb.
The same thing applies to Sabbath. Sabbath is a day of rest. Millenium kingdom is called "a place of His rest". Paul in Hebrews 4 was talking about a day of rest and us entering into His rest. What rest? Salvation! A day of His rest, aka millenium kindgom.
Sabbath was symbolic of salvation.

I am for truth. I came to 7th day adventists conference one day and almost became a believer that we need to worship on Sabbath. So I went home and studied it. And what I discovered was this: they simply presented all the verses that might point to their view and excluded the others (the ones that would contradict) and this is a good way to deceive (not on purpose, but to also deceive themselves)

It's ok to worship on any day (as it says in the Bible: whoever thinks more of this day or that day, to the Lord is doing so. And whoever doesn't, to the Lord is doing so. Paul said that it's not important to observe any day, but it's also not harmful)

So it doesn't really matter. But what does matter is that seventh day believers tend to be very very legalistic in their teachings. They focus on outward appearance much more than on the heart. Perhaps not all, but this is in the teachings and might mislead some people into thinking that if they conform to certain standards that makes them good Christians.

But what makes anyone a good Christian is to find a real live relationship with God.

Christianity (as a majority) has become a religion (protestants included) and I wrote here to point out the difference between religion and faith.
Religion of Christianity does not save, it only deceives people into thinking that they are saved by following a bunch of rules. But faith is about walking with God, truly walking with God.

Dear newborn2007. God gave us 10 Commandments, they are loving advice for us. When Jesus came He answered a Lawyer, who asked Him: " Master, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus`s answer: " Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these 2 Commandments hang all the law and the prophets." As we see, Jesus gave us 2 Commandments, they contain all what God told us in His 10 Commandments. Love is of the greatest importance. God wants us to love Him with all our being, God is Love, and God made us in His image. As to love our neighbour, i.e. all others, whether friend or foe, God wants us to love them as we love ourselves. That is not easy, but we have years to learn, we have Jesus to help us, and we God who will forgive us every time we fall or stumble. We ask every time as Jesus taught us in His prayer: Father forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us." Jesus told us to Repent, to exchange our old selfish and wilful nature for a loving one. It is hard but can be done, and a good start would be to treat all we know or meet, as we would like to be treated. I say this humbly and with love, newborn. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

Dear jpcedotal. Why would God give them us? and if to break one, is to break them all? I expect that Jesus knew that, and that is why Jesus gave us 2 Commandments, which say all what God told us in His 10 Commandments. 1) Love God with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds. 2) Love our neighbour as we love ourselves. They are easy and straightforward. If God had not made us in His image, we would not be here, and we would not be able to reason things out: Love God, or do not love God. As for loving others, our neighbour, friend or enemy, that is not easy, but it can be done. We have Jesus to help and guide us, " ask and we will receive" and we have God who will forgive us, as we forgive others. Ask sincerely and receive gratefully. We might stumble and fall often, but God loves us and will forgive us. We also have years to learn, and once we start we will find, Jesus will give us His Love and His Joy and we will share it. Try by treating all we know or meet, as we would like to be treated. I say this humbly and with love, jpcedotal. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

If you could logically explain WHY Jesus SHOULD HAVE SAID "ME", I'd be really glad. Hitler was a racist, but not once he says "I am a racist" Does that make him NOT?

Ah, but it is after the Lord Jesus Christ affirmed this very commandment alongside the commandment to love one's neighbor that He asked the Pharisees is the Christ the Son of David? This the pharisees affirmed but the Lord quoted the Psalm (110) in which David said, "The LORD said to my Lord, Sit ar My right hand..." "If David calls Him 'Lord" how is He his Son?" (see Matthew 24:41-45). Also remember Jesus Christ was worshipped as an infant by the Gentile wise men (Matthew 2:11). Peter confesses that Jesus is the Christ in Luke 9, Mark 8, & Matthew 16:17, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God..." and the Lord said to Peter, "flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but My Father who is in heaven." The women at the empty tomb "worshipped Him" (matthew 28:9). I think the Lord Jesus Christ surely affirms His divinity in many places in the Gospels.
