Then , if you do not believe in hasatan, he , "The Satan", has totally tricked you, deviously, perhaps subtly, as all Scripture reveals.
It is you who has been trick......For I said nothing of what i believed concerning The Accuser ,,,,yet you have a strong feeling that you know and act upon this feeling...... Who is it that you believe gave you this knowledge which you feel compelled to act upon?

Lets say, I dont believe in your image of Satan, and you do believe in it. Beside the satisfaction and praise you may receive from being a part of a large, likeminded group....What other benefits would you receiving from believing in the image of Satan?
This is inappropriate, and wrong to assume someone gets satisfaction or praise for acknowledging the truth about the enemy of Christ.

Also, it is not the image of hasatan, God's Word tells us of, except of course hasatan's children are like their father....

If the devil did not do works, in all mankind, it would be a somewhat different world,
perhaps much like when first created - in the garden !

The devil did his work.....and God did his work after(?).... Why, now, would the work of the devil, take precedents in your thoughts?

Why rather, do you make so many false assumptions ?
This thread is about the support of the belief in Satan and the importance of knowledge of him and his ways is it not?

Would this sentiment be acceptable if uttered, unchanged, is a worship service for Satan? IF so, why is it also acceptable as a topic of importance in a worship service for God?

And try to guard your heart and mind. When I write "your" or "one" I am not talking about a person typing the words i read.... Im speaking in general for the readers.......As I already stated that I would not even think about changing your mind concerning anything......nor do I find any fault in you believing what you are able to believe.

yet another mis-reading on your part. The satisfaction comes from being apart of a large group of like minded people.....for you are not alone in your thoughts and beliefs.......the thought and belief matters not, and is not the cause of the satisfaction.

Also, it is not the image of hasatan, God's Word tells us of, except of course hasatan's children are like their father....

Most people dont know hasatan. For most, "he" is a guy with a fork making us sick and/or late for church. Are you saying that, for these people, it is not am image that is being given power?

Yes talking about the devil is acceptable even in church, worshipping him... that is just totally different.

Sounds good. Let's say we talk about satan and God in church....but only worship God there..... What would be the difference.....? What more is done for God.....what is the worship part, in your opinion.....preferable something that is done everytime you go there....not, for instance, communion.

There is nothing wrong to talk about satan, its like talking about everything else, you don't sin talking about him, if you are praising him or something that is different..

Do you think it is wrong to NOT talk about satan in church? And what is the difference between talking about and praising satan? Are you able to praise God without talking about him? Does the meaning of the words you use, in reference to him, matter ?

Yes you can talk about someone all you want, the devil included, praising him, would be having a feeling in your heart that you like that person and want to please him with praise or something.
You can talk about someone and not have any pleasant thought or feeling about them.

If a pastor needs to inform the church about satan because it should be useful in deliverance etc, or like paul said that he is not ignorant of the plans of the devil, then that is perfectly fine.

Ok, Maybe I should read up a bit more about Satan so I can strengthen my belief in him and be able to talk about him in church. Is this satisfactory to you? Proof that i will be gaining knowledge to become a better christian?

Yes, but believing in satan and his tactics its different that believing as 'appreciating him' somehow. You should believe it because is true.

But reading about satan is not going to 'strenghten your belief in him', it will actually increase your disgust of him i guess, unless you are a satanist or something and are reading a satanist 'bible'.

I believe in Satan/The Devil (but not as a red dude with horns etc.)

But many Christians don’t, even though he’s clearly in the bible

But can Christianity work (i.e. make sense) without the concept of The Devil?

I say it can’t

Light without darkness makes no sense

Does anyone here think Christianity can work without The Devil?

I say: Just because you don't like the idea of The Devil doesn't make it untrue!

Allow me to share a story:

Before I became Christian I attended a Unitarian chapel

I mentioned to the minister there that I believed in Satan

And he went and contacted my mother, telling her he was worried because I believed in Satan

How outrageous is that!

Yes actually. If you read Genesis and contrast that with Revelation, you will see that Light was the beginning and Light is also at the end of God's Word. Darkness will not exist one day because we will have God Himself as our Light - just as it was in the beginning before the fall of man. :yellowheart:
