True- but can we not find ways to distinguish between posts where the issue is one of disagreement, and posts that are just plain rude or aggressive? Or at least could have been stated in a more polite fashion?

I think a good test is to ask oneself: would you make the comment you just posted to a person you were face to face with- and that person was your best friend?

I have no intentions of going out of my way to be polite to people who are flagrantly harassing and demeaning others without cause, as happened in this case.

I don't like the report system. How do I know that things are being handled? I had an egregious incident happen to me today in-thread and how do I know what's going to happen?

Floating you can always pm a staff member of the team the post is in. Please allow time for it to be taken care of also

The simplest solution I've found for making sure that Reports are handled in a fair and timely manner is to PM every Mod in charge of that Forum and explain the situation... in great detail. As often as you need to.

Should probably copy LeeD, too, just to be safe.

Look up at the top of the forum your post was in. There will be a list of names under "Moderators"

You can look at the top of the page in every forum and see the staff there - you can also click on staff in yur toolbar and click on the area to see who staff in that area are
