That refrigerated feline belongs to my dad and stepmom. I think it's the baby of the gray cat that was on here a few weeks ago. I "think" I posted that. I scatter my pics out on so many sites, I forget!:D

Well nearly New Year's Eve. Think I'll get drunk on blackeyed peas.

Here's my autoharp:
autoharp3.gif

This pic doesn't do it justice. I looks like it has rusty strings. But it doesn't. It has beautiful brand-spanking new strings.

Tony, the Nest is the most important site of them all. No other site should be put before it. :D We did not see a gray cat. :(

I love Thomas Kincade's work. I have one of his calendars. Every scene is so magical. The cardboard that's in the packaging of the calendar makes a great mouse pad. :D Just a little trivia there folks. lol.
My daughter used to work in one of his stores and sold his paintings~~it was always so fun to go in there and look at them~~she actually ended up buying a couple of his paintings~~Your right Miggs~~they are kinds magical to look at~~;o)

Migs, thanks for sharing the pics of your autoharp. How cool.

Now that I'm beginning to feel better, DH is beginning to feel really awful. Poor guy. So tonight for dinner, we've ordered pizza to be delivered. We'll watch it in the family room while watching movies. We've been watching all the old classics: Casablanca, To Have and Have Not, Now Voyager, Dark Victory, etc. I think tonight we'll watch Gone With the Wind.

Tomorrow is my last day off work; I've gotten quite accustomed to staying up late, sleeping late and just taking it easy.

Take care, all.
Blessings!
Kathy

Hello everyone! Can't think why I haven't stumbled into here before!! Nothing I like better than a good natter!

Happy New Year to you all! I spent mine at work but we managed to get a bit of partying in. Saturday everyone brought in stuff for tea then this morning, some of the young women brought in heaps of eggs, bacon and sausages, a couple of Forman grills and witht those and the microwaves we have in the department, made everyone a huge breakfast! I bucked out as I'm trying to be good on my diet! But cottage cheese and oj just didn't seem right smelling all that bacon!

Then we cracked on with the patients who needed attention to their broken bones and far from being victims of the night's revelries, one had slipped on ice (leaving the football ground after seeing Sunderland get trounced yet again!) and the other had tripped over his cat! Still, both are doing well and will no doubt make full recoveries!

Then I went to our New Year's afternoon service and didn't take my flags as I was somewhat tired but d'you know what? As soon as the music started, I just couldn't help myself. Got a couple of flags and was in there! Just can't help myself, y'see!
Ah well, good start to the new year, I guess!

Good Morning Nesters!
Today I will spend putting away Christmas decorations. I will have my 2 year old granddaughter to 'help' me! This was our first Christmas without my mom, she died last January. It has been a hard year but we have all made it. She was a real anchor in our extended family. But we have all grown closer to the Lord. How I thank the Lord for His goodness. I wish all my dear Nester friends a wonderful 2006!

Cindy, I understand your loss, I lost my mom in August of this year and my dad 2 years in Feb. My heart still breaks as neither of my parents were believers.

Isn't it great fun having all that help with your decorations? May have been easier without the help, but not near as much fun.

Cindy and Spudgrandma, I can empathize. My parents are still both living, but their health is failing quickly. :(

Today is my first day back from work. My brain is not back up to 100% yet, but I did get some things accomplished this morning. I have a lot to do, so I'd better finish up my lunch break and get back to work.

Blessings all!

Thank you to Spudgrandma (there has to be a story behind your name, it's so cute!) and TreysNana. I still have my dear step-dad. It's really hard watching their health fail isn't it! Kathy, your signature is so cute! You are very creative! Have a great day everyone!

Well I headed back to work today~~wasn't too bad~~the babies were in a pretty good mood today~~surprising since they also just survived the holidays.
It has been cloudy here for weeks and rainy/misty for a couple of days~~I really miss the sun~~;o/ Think I will have a party when it finally comes back out~~!
Also cleaned out a utility closet today~~amazing how much junk one can accumulate in those!
Kinda tired so think I won't be here much longer~~those lil ones wears a body out~~lol
