I bought a bag of frozen red raspberries yesterday...I will whip that up with soy milk and make a smoothie...YUM...

The best use for raspberries! :)

I remember studying personality types years ago. The literature was interesting. Apparently only the "Extrovert/Introvert" characteristic is verifiable. Everything else is not.

Still, we can have fun, and the Myers-Briggs is better than most. I wonder if I am still an ENFP? That would be interesting, to retake the test and see if--according to that--I've changed.

But in the end, I think that this is what matters the most: who we are in the Lord, and also, whether we are changing from day to day into the likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, I want to be more like Christ!

I too want to be more like Christ...That is the personality I want to be.

Amen, that makes two of us--

Now, here is a question: what is Jesus like?

Perhaps we could make a list, looking especially for the characteristics He wants to form in us? :)

Amen, love, and patience.

And joy. The Lord has been teaching me this, to choose to be happy. To not allow myself to wallow in self-pity or entertain depression. Especially, to guard my thoughts and choose to think on positive, uplifting things. Sometimes this is a challenge for me. :)

Yes, what does Jesus look like?

"For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him" Isa 53:2

And yet...

"And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." Rev 1:13-16

Maybe this contrast between the prophecy of Isaiah and the description of John the Beloved also tells us a little of how we also will be changed before He is finished with us.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

My score was 37 and the description I think is pretty accurate. The thing was though some #'s were hard to answer especially the dream question I could have chosen at least three different ones. Jan

Hi Sis...

We are so fortunate to have such luxury as these delicious berries so readily available.

I get the mixed berries frozen, put some into plain yogurt and sweeten with Splenda. Most often, I use this for a breakfast or an evening snack.

Amadeus, this is such a beautiful post. Thank you.

Yes, Jesus was changed when He was resurrected. I believe it is the reason that first Mary Magdalene and then two of Jesus' disciples did not recognize Him when He appeared to them, John 20:14; Luke 24:13-31. His body had been glorified, and changed.

I believe that we also will be changed when we are raised from the dead. This is so clear in 1 Corinthians 15:

[bible]1 Corinthians 15:42-44[/bible]

I also believe that God is working on us to change us now. He is forming His character in us. We are changing, as we love Him and submit to Him, as we receive correction and allow Him to change us. More and more we will act and be like our Savior. Everyday as we walk in Him, we are being sanctified. Our salvation continues.

We have been saved--we were justified
We are being saved--He is sanctifying us
We will be saved--He will glorify us

God is so good!

Anybody for a high-dive ?

Do you prefer to Karl up in bed with a book

You are as Jung as you feel
[maybe/ possibly/ definitely/ influenced]

Kaleidoscopic personality-types ?

Why ?
do you like/ prefer/ respond-to people, that are
JUST LIKE YOU ?

mmmmm it is, seemingly
a deep swim in a mud bath
where, every suspended particle
is JUST another 'combination' of, modified traits

I 'enjoy' sleeping.... peacefully

Yes, the change is happening for as long as we let it happen. He is working on us while it is day and we are working, but soon the night is coming when no man can work.

Claire---(((((((HUGS))))))) You don't have to rep me. I love talking about the Lord and His goodness. It is my delight and joy.

Dave--What can I say? LOL, brother!

Amadeus, I really liked your comment:

Yes, the change is happening for as long as we let it happen. He is working on us while it is day and we are working, but soon the night is coming when no man can work.

Yes, it is up to us to change.

I remember being puzzled by this verse once:

[bible]Matthew 11:12[/bible]

What is that force?

I believe it is this: we take the kingdom by force of will. We choose whether to receive Christ or not. We choose whether to love Him and follow Him. We choose whether to obey His Word. We choose whether to allow Him to correct us, and to receive His grace so that we can change.

We choose. God never violates the human will. It is up to us to decide--and choose--how close we want to get to God.

But I know this, if we do decide to go after Christ with all our heart, and if we continue to choose to do this on a daily basis, then we will change. We will see our old man die, and the very essence and character of Christ formed in us.

God is so awesome!
