Anyway, how are you yourself? Did you get sorted out with new accommodation?

A dull wet day here. We had one brief fall of snow and my son texted me from work about 4 miles away to say there had been hailstones in that area.

I'm getting the squiggly red error line constantly, so I'm going to finish there as it is getting on my nerves.

Sounds like you have some very nice neighbours. It is clear to see that they regard you as part of their community.

Frozen rain showers are not nice things. We're getting some better weather now, but still getting rain. Definitely not the weather for casting a clout just yet.

It is not the spell checker. Every word is underlined plus the spaces in between. Besides that, I set my spell checker to UK English and add any words it doesn't recognise

Actually, here 'clout' means an item of clothing and 'May' refers to May blossom, otherwise known as hawthorne blossom. Definitely clout-casting weather now. We've had temperatures in the high 20sC.

Our air conditioning stopped working earlier today, and it's an older unit. We finally got someone to do a Saturday service call and we were pleasantly surprised with a bill of less than $200. One of the pipes that drains water was clogged. Wow! - what a relief. We thought our old unit had given up on us completely. Thank you Lord.

Hubby's away for the weekend at a target rifle shooting contest. When he gets back, he and I wil be travelling to Belfast for a medical conference. There's a schedule of trips for those accompanying the delegates, so I shouldn't be bored. Tomorrow my youngest and I are going on our church outing - picnic lunch and games at the beach, free afternoon and dinner in a local hotel.

A lot of people here are very excited about the Northern Ireland football team winning against the Ukraine in the European Football Championships in Paris.

Our move to the retirement community might be getting closer than we thought. We signed papers yesterday, and God appears to be working things out for us. We'll have to sell or donate many things that simply won't fit in the new place (i.e. furniture, books, and items we don't really need). It's going to be a lot of work, and we'll be happy to finish the move. It's really quite an adventure, and there are still quite a few unknowns.
