• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, HfJ Sis' and especially as these 'peoples'
were supposed to be without technology

The Longshan people of China live from around 3000 BC to 2400 BC. Toward the end of this period they are using bronze to make tools and weapons. The Bronze Age starts about 2300 BC in Europe. Few tools are made in the beginning, but by 1200 BC bronze has replaced all stone tools.

So, these tunnels / Cities, were constructed before the Bronze Age (?) and well before the Iron Age

Imagine the manpower (whole lifetimes) involved-in, these constructions /excavations
Very creditable undertakings, beyond a doubt
Not the least for the labour involved in spoils removal and deposition
(without a mechanical conveyor)

I am convinced that there was a very high tech world prior to the flood and even afterward there was enough tech knowledge for men to conspire to build the Tower of Babel.

And the people lived hundreds of years back then too so imagine the cumulative knowledge passed from generation to generation.

Very likely

and some 'very lucky' souls
hung onto, their reasoning
and honed, their many-talents
to pass them down in succession
Despite, the lands
being-struck with, 'speaking in tongues'

Joseph, was a carpenter
and so was Jesus (we are told)

The common route to understanding and cooperation
was dealt a blow
with the couple (or more) hundred 'different languages' and customs
getting IN THE WAY, of folks, just GETTING ALONG

Don't you see this recurring ?
How many languages are spoken in your city
~it is, 200+ here in Manchester alone

Some are widely dispersed
BUT, they are likely, to 'gather' in-communities
~for common good and support

Without any 'apparent thought' to the outcome
of treating people, like 'rocks in a stone tumbler'
where, you are bound-to discover / incite 'friction'
and not expect any polishing to occur

Then again, is that, 'the-purpose' for.......

Well, here we only have 3 English, Spanish, and Hindu. And everyone speaks English in public. But I hear it is a babble in the larger cities. Our little town considers it bad manners to speak anything other than English in public.

Which ALLOWS understanding anyway (two-way communication)

Here, if one side has a problem, there is no 'understanding' ('on the Front Line')
It is manifestly CLEAR (to those that watch and see)
that there is no-compulsion to-learn the local (endemic) language

That those who are sincerely looking-for-work
are seeing
immigrants and refugees, are being taken-on (as perhaps, cheaper-labour)

Yes God had appointed all things.
Ecc. 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
