From the article:

"We are making progress ... but we have to do better," Mayor Lori Lightfoot says

Chicago's bloody gun violence continued through the holiday weekend as more than 67 people were shotand at least 13 killed, including a 7-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.

Nine of the victims were minors, with only the two fatalities so far, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The girl, identified by her family as Natalie Wallace, was outside her grandmother’s home at a Fourth of July party in the city's Austin neighborhood around 7 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and three men got out and started shooting indiscriminately.

I fail to understand why this can't be stopped. You know the people that live there are tired of living in fear.

I think we have to reconcile that bad behavior is the domain of some. Whether it leads to murder, abuse or another infraction, we know the root is sin. If a person is determined to sin there is little we can do to prevent it. We can contain the problem but eradication is God’s domain.

You can’t end violence without a conscious concern for life and your fellow man. That begins with a pliable heart and a willingness to love your neighbor. If that’s absent you behave like animals. As we’ve seen.

Cops are evil. We can't arrest criminals who are members of the black race, they aren't criminals they are under privileged only taking what should have belonged to them or what was unjustly granted to another. No one cares about victims... they need to stop pretending to be victims, they aren't. They were killed for their privilege. They deserved to die all of them... those who loot, steal maim and kill are doing us all a favor, they are the real patriots.

Or so the left tells us every day.

Now explain to me why I should offer care or protection to those who voted for all of the above again? They got exactly what they wanted, their babies murdered in the streets.

Sometimes people have the feel the consequences of their actions before they listen to the truth and stand up for what is right.
