I think more to the point, putting the use of legislators in the hands of bankers is an even worse situation. And that's what we've had for a long time.

We had national banks that had the same purpose that were started by the same group of people before the Federal Reserve. It's just that the Federal Reserve happened to survive the opposition that the others didn't. Naming it "Federal Reserve" helped!

I'm reading a book about all this stuff right now. It's fascinating. It's called People V. Banksters if anyone wants it. The gal that wrote it (friend of a friend) it letting it out free and I can email it to anyone that asks.
