The number 10 very good looking young lady next door just ran a personal ad in the Country Gazette. I asked her what she had put in her ad and she stated.

Strong Christian young man desired by good looking young country Lady. Those that have ever spent any time in the "cry closet" need not apply -- hate to see a sissy grown man cry. My horse hates that and my dad would want to arm wrestle you. Ever had your wrist broken before?

Meant to be taken in Good Humor.

While I may not agree with what someone is crying about, the idea of such a closet seems intriguing to me. Crying is supposed to be more healthful than holding it in.

For me (being mildly autistic), that is not my strong suit.

I've got a few buddies who are on the autism spectrum who are in my department. I've never seen them cry in public but stress seems to get to them more. It's a stressful field so that's not a sign of weakness. They have sensory overload, on top of the rest of it. We don't have a 'crying closet' but we've got quiet spaces anybody can go to to be on their own for a few minutes for some peace & quiet. I use it to go & pray. It's healthy.

Why don't they just cry at home most of them still live with their mommies and will until they are 57 years old.

That way they will not have to drag all of their stuffed toys to the cry room on campus.

Poo Bear lunch boxes now being sold at the campus store.

Friday's have been declared pajama day on all campuses. Winnie the Pooh pajamas seem to be the most popular at this time, especially with boys.

Would they be as open to "prayer closets"?

Have you thought of running for vice president kind of like Trump's second in command? Come quick we need you.

LOL! I'm following God's lead on this one brother, and just being still and knowing that HE IS God, and sitting back in awe as He "parts the Red Sea", so to speak..

 That was a brilliant idea, by our brother Sabertooth, by the way, of using them as "prayer" closets. It never crossed my mind.

Brilliant. :D

How many 'adults' are on anti-depressants to manage the stress in their lives, thousands? millions?

To many are and it is a problem, sometimes I think people are being medicated that do not need such things. A shift kick in the behind would cure many. You do not see a problem in bygone era's of "oh I am so depressed, give me meds!" they pulled themselves by their bootstraps and did what had to be done. Modern people have become sissified to a huge extant and crying rooms, coloring books, and other things so how far we have fallen.

Some of you got to remember, in Heaven you won't have anyone to look down on. If anything, people there will be looking down on you for blatant display of pride towards those you perceived as weaker than you without knowing their background. God is not impressed by your strengths or worldly success made possible by His grace.

It's not how long you live but what your morals say.

No sin in heaven , no pride , nobody will look down on anybody , you won't even remember your sins you will be like child knowing only good .

Then I guess you guys better get your kicks while you still can since this hyper-protestant view of God and salvation only enables us to treat each other however we wish without fear of consequences.

Sometimes I wonder how many Christians actually believe in Jesus's messages and are not just in it for the status of being saved. In the end, it appears that we would rather have a might makes right kind of society than one that is based on love, peace, and humility.

You can't force somebody to love the other nor can God do that it's your choice . Most important thing is to preach the gospel that makes you Christian not behaviour .

That is a pretty cynical POV. And I'm not quite sure what constitutes a "hyper-protestant."

But in my circles, the view of God and salvation enables God to continue to conform us into the image of His Son, Jesus. As THAT convergence happens, we all learn to extend more grace to each other. I have seen the Holy Spirit bridge the communication gap between NTs & neuro-diverse, as well.
