The falling away that is talked about is a warning to check yourself constantly because God knows who the elect are..

Ask God.

Scripture says there is an Elect. It says no one can take them from the Father's hand. It also warns people not to fall away.

Why? Because it pleases God to inspire truth in scripture. If one who is not living for Christ reads His bible and sees that he is not living for Christ he will be convicted of sin. God gives people grace using many tools.

We decide whether to accept God's grace and follow. We can't do it alone, but we must follow.

This has nothing to do with salvation.

This has to do with our situation in life while on earth.

God knows who will make it, we don't. Not even Paul:
