No, @ToBeLoved, you misunderstand me. My point that I was making to @Thursday is that we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that guides us, and the ONLY good that we do is by His instruction. What a man sews on his own accord is sin, and what he would inevitably reap is death. By the guiding hand of the Spirit, and the completed work of Christ, we have the assurance that what we shall reap is everlasting life. This was my point.

That is a big error on the basic tenant of why Christ died. To reconcile us back to Himself and TO LIVE IN US.

This is a basic fundamental of the New Covenant. If you do not understand this, you do not understand what Christ died to give us.
You are looking for ways to disagree with someone on the other side of the fence without understanding what is being discussed. You add nothing to the conversation.

You are mistaken:

2 Chron 15:2
The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will allow you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

Romans 11:22
Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

But. You do know that the Holy Spirit is our seal of the New Covenant. That the indwelling Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Christ's until the Day of Redemption.

So, if one HAS the Holy Spirit, that person is Christ's Own. The Holy Spirit IS what determines that we are Christ's.

No Holy Spirit = No Christ

We should look to Christ as the objective basis for assurance, not ourselves. To look to ourselves produces doubt and detracts from the saving work of Christ.

You should look to the word of God as fair warning.

The goats didn't even know that Jesus was watching, but you and I do.

The Word does indeed often warn about how a man of God should live if He is truly His. Yet it does not demand perfection, and we certainly shouldn't expect it of each other. Our failings our intended to bring us closer to Him, and to always have a need for His guidance and zeal for growth.

Wow.

Way to disqualify someone else's opinion.

I am in this conversation though, so a little respect. Thanks.

It doesn't demand perfection, but it does demand that we strive for holiness and that we confess our sins.

Salvation is not a one time event, it is a process that we must see to the end.

This is Sanctification, and we are not alone. The work that He started in us He shall surely see through till the end.

If we cooperate.

Why do you keep ignoring these scriptures? They are not difficult to understand.

Romans 11:22
22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

Romans 8:17
Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

John 15
6If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. 9“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

2 Tim 2:12
if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;

Revelation 3:10
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

You deny the words of Paul's "sermon"? Interesting tactic. Not something I would recommend.

I don't deny the words at all: they are holy and breathed out by the spirit of God, and quite obviously intended for believers.

Please continue the silly arguments because they are incredibly easy to rebut.

Just as you aren't sure if God elected you. You have a 50/50 chance today just as you had before the foundation of the world.

One that is elect will desire to fellowship with God's people.
We know we are elect because we recognize we are sinners,
and we repent and believe in Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
We know we are elect because He disciplines us.
We know we are elect because we desire "Thy will be done"
not "my will be done". The Elect will bear fruit.
The only response God's people have to such loving grace
and mercy is gratitude. A person that does not desire such things tramples
the blood of Christ and should have no reason to "hope
they have been picked".

The New Covenant is not objective in any way on God's part. God always keeps His covenants. There is no objective assurance.

Also spoken to believers about the power available through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

You are welcome to keep trying to refute the word of God. It's pointless and futile, but you're welcome to try.

I'd recommend reading it and attempting to grasp it one more than a superficial level in order to gain a more accurate, Spirit-led understanding.

God bless.

God saves those who cooperate with his grace.

If you reject God's will persistently without repentance until your death you will not be saved.

Prescient Election ( election by God's foreknowledge
of future human choices ) changes Christianity into
an anthropocentric religion of men.

It also renders Divine Election pointless.

What's the sense of the Lord electing people because
they're going to choose Him, anyway ? Why not wait
until they just choose Him ?

It also violates the Scriptural injunction of Psalms 135:6
( "The Lord does whatever pleases Him" NIV ), and
Romans 9:1 ( "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy"
NASB ).

Available, yes.

However, it is a warning that if we reject God's will we will lose his grace.

2 Chron 15:2

God wants all men to be saved. Those who cooperate with his grace will be saved.

I've posted dozens of scriptures today. The Calvinists ignore the scriptures and repeat their man made dogmas.
"Man Made Dogmas"

Like the Perpetual Virginity of Mary?

Like the sinlessness of Mary?

Like the Immaculate Conception of Mary?

Not to throw shade, but everything I've spoken is supported by Scripture with the understanding that context matters. Who is the Scripture speaking to? Believers or unbelievers? It is a absolutely absurd to assume that theological messages would be targeted to non-believers.

As I am finding out right now.

God bless.
