Wow Wish I had a TARDIS when I was a kid.

I heard of someone who turned their house entrance into a TARDIS so you walked through it into the house.

There was a TARDIS entrance at the Longleat Dr. Who exhibit. It was cool walking through it.

I went there as a kid. I had a badge to say I had too...somewhere.

There is not exhibition there now...it burned down along with some of the original costumes.

Longleat is where I got my favorite poster (for free). "FIND OUT HOW IT CONQUERED THE GALAXY" with a picture of a plunger. It was one of the original posters for the MOMI Behind the Sofa exhibit. Most of her stuff was with the exhibit, though. But I had lots of fun talking to her.

I thought I was there after the fire, though, because I remember she talked about it.

cool. a Dr. Who club. I've watched Dr. Who for about 17 years now. I have a pretty large collection on DVD and VHS. I just wish we got Torchwood here in the States.

I think it's overrated personally. The impression I get is that it's very hit-and-miss.

I've seen the first 4 or 5 episodes and they wee good enough

I have my sofa seat (and the space behind it should I need!) booked for the christmas special (with the inlaws!) They are teasing us with glimpses of it on the tv...a Spinning TARDIS over a busy road, brief glimpses of a bride and (classified for spoiler reasons!)

Torchwood is definitely not Dr Who, in my view its a different animal...some good and bad episodes I'm going to sit it out to the end and give my view then. I expect it will make it accross the "pond" eventually though the content is a little more "Adult" than DW.

My favorite has always been Jon Pertwee. Althought the new guy is really good. my favorite episode is probably "Robot" the Pertwee to Baker regeneration episode. Aweful special effects, great story line. Of Course that could be said for all of the episodes up too about 89. favorite bad guy is probably the "Master" with the Daleks coming in a close second. Earliest memory is my first year of college eatting pizza and watching DW at 1030 every saturday night. all they ever showed were Tom Baker episodes, but that was ok with us.

more news re the Christmas special

The lead bad guy is called the empress of Racnoss and is played by an actress whose previous claim to fame is appearing in a beer advert asking someone to smear her with chip fat! (I kid you not!!!) I saw a short clip this morning and it looks fab...all I can say is the Doctor has finally worked out how to fly the TARDIS (it only took 9 regenerations!)

In other news the BBC have confirmed that there will be a series 4 (season 33?) however would not be drawn on whether David Tennant will still be the Doctor. His contract will be due for renewal about that time so watch this space.
