I pefer low. Easyer to get along with. The last high maintance gal I went with was a car slob her back seat and passenger seat was full of garbage that she used to make herself "beauiful".
Yeah but a "low maintanence" friend of mine has the messiest car you will ever see. It's not makeup type junk in the back seats, it's just everything else you can possibly imagine.

I wear a moderate amount of make-up, but it is not overdone nor is it caked on. I think that saying a girl is high-maintenance if she wears alot of make-up is a generalization. I dress modern, and wear make up, but am also borderline redneck and pretty much low maintenance. :) But you would not know it to look at me or talk to me. I think that some girls take it over the top with make-up and clothing. I agree with what someone said that high maintenance is a "needy" kind of girl, not necessarily a girl who likes to look nice, especially for her man.

I like girls who are tasteful in their choice of clothing. There isnt a need to wear makeup if a girl can dress up well enough. Its like asking the question Do the size of boobs matter to guys in general? And obviously the answer is no.
I agree..a women who dresses femine, and/or in a dress is very beautiful!
Makeup should be as if one cant detect it! I am personally against any eye lash make up or such, It looks harlotry.
And well large boobs get noticed...men like all type of women, as long as they are femine, and dont look like men~

I normally view high maintenance as more than makeup and clothes... a personality issue rather than the superficial one we're talking about. That said, I voted in favor 'high maintenance' here because of your definition. A nicely dressed and manicured etc. woman is definitely more attractive to me than one who couldn't care less about her appearance. Also, I grew up in a climate where women who dress nicely are viewed as flawed and may even be viewed as lesser for it. Even my sister occasionally points women out to me and says things like "Do you see what she's wearing?" (Maybe she's wearing makeup, an above-the-knee skirt with a short-sleeved blouse or something.) with the insinuation that the girl in question may not be a good person/true Christian etc. based on what she's wearing. That sort of sentiment is often echoed with my 'low maintenance' female Christian friends (who are otherwise awesome btw). In summary, I do like it when women tastefully dress to be pretty, and so-called low maintenance women can (ironically?) be a bit too judgmental for me. A compromise may be best… a girl who doesn’t go to either extreme.

I won't find many women attractive if they are in Jeans and a Tshirt. Make-up I don't care too much about, but I really like women who wear feminine clothes. I could care less if they are in style but Tshirts I see as a male thing.
If you wear jeans wear a feminine style top at least!

I like a girl who puts some thought into what she wears. Whatever her style, I want her to be modest. That's ALL I care about.

I don't take more than half an hour to get ready in the morning, and I don't expect her to spend more than that, either. No makeup, a little makeup, that's fine with me.

The "doll" look does not appeal to me in the least.
