Locusts can be a tasty junk food.
High in protein, zinc, and iron, locusts can be pan-fried, deep-fried, or even covered in chocolate, as noted in BBC. Locusts are said to have a sort of shrimpy, nutty flavor.

So you suspect that they'll put the fact in small print on food containers, but you'll be forced to eat them because...
  • You can't read?
  • There will be a law making you eat buggy frozen meatballs?
  • You'll get careless and eat some and find you like them?
  • You don't know how to prepare anything but processed foods?
  • Or something else?

The answer is yes. In order to cut out the meat from our diets they will force us to eat bugs for protein because all meat products will contain bugs.

Seems unlikely. Chicken protein, for example is currently a lot cheaper than bugs as food. Beef might eventually become less common for economic reasons, but that's no sure thing.
