  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have always used the playtex disposable bottles. I like them because once you push all the air out of the bottle no more can get in and I very, very, very rarely had any trouble with my boys having gassy tummies. Also I had an easier time switching between bottles and breastfeeding because of the nipple design. We used the brown ones with the kind of cylendrical nipple with the little ridges...my boys loved those bottles.

I use Avent bottles and my son loves them. He has one bottle that isn't Avent I bought him, it's a Tigger bottle from Babies R Us, and he uses it, but I like it more than he does :p Also, I use Similac primarily, but have done Enfamil as well.

I use Pigeon Bottles, Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature, and Nuby bottles.
My favorites now are the Nuby, but when Maddie was littler I liked the Pigeon.

I have a VERY spewy baby... although she doesn't seem to have any pain when she spews alot which is nice! But the Nuby now are good, she doesn't seem to spew as much with them as she does with the others. It was Pigeon in the beginning that was good for her.

i loved the playtex bottles with the disposible liners for my daughter. my first son used some hourglass shaped bottles (Nuby) i think and they were always tipping over, that was annoying. My other son is using gerber but i dont think he likes the nipple, he is mostly breastfed and my nipples definately dont look or feel like that. Maybe I'll switch to playtex.
