I mean you're granting that an omnipotent being is able to save most people from being affected by an explosion. If that's the case, then what stopped this omnipotent being from keeping all people unaffected?

so that would almost certainly mean that other people were in on it. Does the death and injury count still stand?

Anyway massive respect to the people who ran in to help/move the barriers almost immediately after the explosion. I dont know if I'd be brave enough for that.

I also read that some runners who had crossed the finish line kept running to the hospital to donate blood. Whether it's true or not is anyone's guess, but it sounds good anyway.

I'd like to think I'd be brave enough, but I'm not sure.

Someone above mentioned an IED bomb. Not trying to raise a false flag here, but aren't those made in Iran?

IED is simply Improvised Explosive Device, aka crude bomb. Those have been made for ages, and were common in vietnam, just under a different name.

Reports are that the bombs were very crude with low power explosives. A highly crowded area is quite vulnerable though. If they had possessed C4 or something similar, the body count could have been massive.

An ied stands for improvised explosive device. Basically, its a bomb made out of anything. You don't need an artillery shell to make one. My dad was in navy eod for 30 years. When he saw the explosions, at least the closer one in the most prominent video, he suspected it was a home made pipe bomb of some sort.

To give you an idea, a woman roughly 30 feet from the blast came out relatively uninjured. You had to be very close and probably struck by shrapnel to end up seriously injured.

Update on numbers:

2 dead
17 critical condition
25 serious condition
130 + injured.

Here's hoping that's the highest these numbers ever go.

I've seen a few non-mainstream reports that there was supposedly some bomb squad drill also being held today and that there were bomb-sniffing dogs all over the place, etc. It rings of conspiracy but I'm taking everything under consideration and examining it. Has anyone else seen those reports?
