I know Muslims, I know liberals, I know conservatives, and I know everyone in between. I'm hoping against all hope that its just some nut. But I don't think it will be the case. Should the person's ideology be discovered, all it will do is poison my country's political dialogue even more and tar everyone who shares even the teeniest bit of ideological similarity with the perp.

Well maybe not, but still they probably could have done more ( thankfully they did not) to kill more people either by planting more or planting them in different places.

The director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum says that a 3 p.m. fire inside the building's mechanical room was not caused by a device and is apparently not related to the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.

You plan events, not outcome. Multiple explosions spread out, what more do you need? The casualty count seems low looking at the videos, but the race had been over (for the winners) for awhile, which may have thinned the crowd a bit.

The Boston police are now saying that there was a bomb there. The fire might have been coincidental, but there was definitely an explosion there that they believe are tied to the race explosions.

We can't question the dead. If we find the cowards alive we can find out who they are, why they did what they did and maybe who else was involved. Not that we can't potentially find these things out via investigation later but it'd be much easier if we have a living prisoner to interrogate.

If you are going to do something though Why would you not do it in the middle of the race when the crowd is thickest? or even even do like they did on 9/11 where people had to be there or else lose their jobs or do it at a correctional factulity where people are not permitted to leave. Trust me they do search but people have shanks ALL the time, so it is not impossibile or somehow do it on the interstate. No I am in no way praising what they did or saying that they should do these things, BUT that those may be other places where large numbers of people could have been killed.
