Seems to me that convicted felons don't lose their citizenship just because they're in prison.
Ringo

No, but they do forfeit their right to vote.

It varies state to state. Some States re-instate the right after sentence is served and all requirements are completed.

So, the Mexican government should not enforce their border laws nor respect ours? Just let them continue to allow the corruption in their own country?
Excuse me? What Mexico does with its borders is its decision.
Should Mexico continue to allow corruption in the US?

Is Mexico helping people get across our border illegally?

Biden needs to reverse course, there has been a surge of children, and now the cages for children implemented by Obama are back, they renaming them welcome "facilities" or whatever, they are boxes with bars and they are quickly running out of cage space. The Biden people won't even let reporters in to inspect. How many children will be abused before Biden stops this madness? How many more victims of the criminals Joe won't deport will there be before it is stopped? Biden doesn't have to send people down to the border, he has the reports, why won't he act?

First, let's separate 2 separate problems.

TREATMENT OF FAMILIES COMING DOWN
Families must be processed within 72 hours. Children cannot be separated from their families. We continue to need hundreds of immigration judges to deal with the backlog, and deal with the new families. I don't know how much of the processing can be done in Mexico. I suspect that the courts would allow processing Mexico for 72 hours.

TREATMENT OF MINORS NOT WITH THEIR PARENTS
Do we just send these kids back? Do we find out why there are here, as assess their status? Where should they be while they are being assessed? OBVIOUSLY, the "court" system needs to fixed. Advocates should be appointed. The current system of having a 4 year old represent himself in Immigration Court is ridiculous.

They are allowing it.
They do have some police trying to stop illegals from sneaking in but they don't have the resources we do. We can't even patrol 2,000 miles of border.

Should Biden threaten Mexico with tariffs as Trump did?

The crisis at the border is the surge of non-citizens to entering our country. The detention centers are overwhelmed and people are released into this country without proper background checks. We don't know how many have COVID, how many are bringing drugs in, how many are part of human trafficking and how many are terrorists.

Why wouldn't you? Do they bear any responsibility for the conditions of their people? Trump offered to assist them in their problems. Evidently they did not want it.

An old argument from gun grabbers is that lax gun laws in the USA fuel gun violence in Mexico. So with that in mind, why wouldn't lax border policy in Mexico (such as allowing illegals coming through their country to cross all the way to and across the border with the USA be Mexico fueling illegal immigration into the USA?

Trump threatened them with tariffs if they didn't close their southern border to immigrants from Central America.
Should Biden do the same thing?

The majority of people at the border are from Central America.
Trump threatened Mexico that if they didn't stop those people at their southern border he would retaliate with tariffs.
In your opinion, should Biden do the same?

Either tariffs, or at least stop the people from crossing the border. Trump was in the process of having a border wall put up, and it was effective where it had been completed. Biden then fired all those union employees who were doing the work. How that will secure the border from future caravans of people is beyond me.

He absolutely did not. He offered them a wall and concentration camps for migrants who made the journey across our (imaginary) border.

I sat there and heard it myself. He said it as a side issue when speaking of the wall. It was very early on. He spoke about them having all kinds of problems. Then said we can help them with that if they want. He knew they wouldn't. The government is corrupt there.

And they marched right over the border and accepted those things. So what's the problem?

Saying they have problems isn't the same thing as offering help to them. If the government is corrupt, then we could help them with that instead of judging the people who migrate here.
