  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Blackness Has Become A Commodity

“Blackness was once considered a curse, now it’s considered a commodity.

Just as intellectuals from decades and centuries ago created white supremacy to label black skin a curse, many intellectuals today have created critical race theory to label black skin a commodity.

For that reason, blackness has become one of the most valuable items on the market. Increasingly, some white people—particularly white people who embrace critical race theory—seemingly yearn to become allies with or members of the supposed Black American community.”

How does one determine whether they are black/white? Dna? Who decided this?

I guess if we are to follow current sociological trends it has to be decide by the individual's personal preference. If it is so for gender, I see no reason that it should be anything else for what color one identifies as. Perhaps we should all identify as brown since we are all one or other shade of brown.

Except blacks aren't always black but also shades of brown.
The new black love for many people is bending over backwards or to the extreme opposite of where they were because of guilt of how they treated them before. I for one wish it would go back to the way it was a few months ago minus the prejudice. This over kissing their --- is ridiculous and it has caused them to feel overly entitled and that has caused all the outbreak which has caused a lot of damage and hurt. USE SOME BALANCE PEOPLE, DOWN THE MIDDLE, ETC.

When you think about it we have caused some of the divide by using terms like red, yellow, black, brown, whatever color to describe a race. That's pretty terrible when you think about it. We cause the divide using the color of our skins as a description.

Why not go back to using negro, caucasian, chinese, indian, etc., with caps if you are typing or writing it, lol.

IMO Trump has said some absurd things during his time as President, but one thing he got right was when he spoke out against Critical Race Theory and stopped Critical Race Theory training for Federal employees. IMO this one he got right.

Basically that the USA is a racist country and what white people in the USA have white privilege making them guilty of contributing to the racist structure of the country.
When I went to school and work their was a Hierarchy for minorities and we were at the bottom and got shoved aside. That went on for years. As far as I know in hiring minorities and is first foremost and still active. Employers can get penalized if they don't follow the guidelines. EEOC and all of that. Sorry, I didn't mean EEOC, it is Affirmative Action that puts minorities first. Many a hiring agent has been frustrated as they can't hire the most qualified for the position because of the minority number they must meet in their hiring, etc.

"Affirmative action, in the United States, an active effort to improve employment or educational opportunities for members of minority groups and for women. Affirmative action began as a government remedy to the effects of long-standing discrimination against such groups and has consisted of policies, programs, and procedures that give limited preferences to minorities and women in job hiring ..."
