Yeah, even if burning legal tender is against the law, you're less likely to go to jail than defacing or toppling a monument.

I get the sense, this has nothing to do with slavery per se, but is connected to removing white role models from public places.

I get this idea from the most recent BLM protest tendencies to dismantle the whole system, and part of that is the history that lead to the current situation.

Whether it was intentional or not, it really looks that way.

They've managed to dig up historical evidence that suggests that Lincoln was disingenuous, or actually treacherous, in his plans for blacks during and after emancipation, and favored the removal of blacks from the country, ostensibly for the good of the blacks, and the country. Reason enough in their minds to remove Lincoln as a benevolent icon.

This is Black racism, like Black Panther militants. I have met and worked with friendly people of four races and mixed races. These people are like the KKK in Black.

The man also stated that he was through with 'discussions' and was ready for 'action'. One restaurant patron tried to leave but was blocked by the protestors. They obviously want to start a physical confrontation so they have an excuse to break some heads.

The BLM movement was founded by Trained Marxists and we should know and fully understand by now what their ultimate goal is.

It has nothing at all to do with Black Lives any where, it is to destroy the fabric of our American Society, to usher in Socialism.

Indigenous people are not the same as African Americans, it's understandable if someone of Native American ancestry is protesting any statue glorifying the United States. Why would he want to take down a statue of a man who is responsible for ending slavery?

This is only going to provoke some other group to tear down Monuments to Malcolm X (for his criminal past) and Muhammad Ali (draft dodger). I thought George Washington, the Father of this country was too much of an insult, but Abraham Lincoln as well? They are considered two of the three greatest presidents in American history. I can definitely see this provoking others to tear down monuments to Obama. I do not see these provocative acts as leading to peace. No one considers Washington or Lincoln as symbols of oppression. Washington is known for his David versus Goliath victory against the superpower of the day and Lincoln for his Gettysburg address and holding the country together during the most trying time. This seems petty and mean spirited to me.
