Biden vows tax credit will put '720 million women' back in workforce

Speaking at the Workers’ Presidential Summit in Philadelphia, the 2020 frontrunner mocked the idea of having a tax break for "a racehorse" and not one for having children.

"You get a tax break for a racehorse, why in God's name couldn't we provide an $8,000 tax credit for everybody who has childcare costs?" Biden told the crowd. "It would put 720 million women back in the workforce. It would increase the GDP, to sound like a wonk here, by about eight-tenths of one percent. It would grow the economy."

I am sure that the number includes millions of the illegals that have flooded our country during the Obama/Biden years.
Women must really have it bad under Trump if twice as many women in this country than there are people are unemployed right now. ^_^

Guess raising a kid at home is unacceptable now. Get them off their butts and back into the machine., barefoot and working so the constant over elevation in price of everything can be justified as affordable.

Obama was a huge deporter of undocumented immigrants, and the total number in the U.S. declined during his tenure:

It would cost the tax payers less if women stayed home and raised the children, instead of tax payers paying for child care.

In that case why not fathers staying home while mothers work if they would prefer that arrangement? Fact is that single income households are a thing of the past so either option is unlikely.

Especially if females make 30% less for the same work.

Not for Christians. Economy means nothing to God.

However, our economy has been manipulated by the Federal Reserve in debasing their monetized currency. When the Fed began, $6 could buy what now costs $600. This has been a deliberate destruction of our families. It was understood that inflating the money would make it difficult for a single revenue to support a family, forcing the mothers out of the home.

But my first comment still stands. The cost to tax payers to pay for child care is more expensive to the nation than mothers staying home and raising their children.

But it creates two sets of jobs to make someone who oversees look good for job creation..

Well not to worry, younger generations are just opting not to have children anyway.

Well, if evolution was true, so ends the human species.
That would actually be a benefit to the planet. Humans won’t stop reproducing though, just those who find they can live a better life without children.

Or another way of putting it... have the money and resources to entertain themselves in other ways than breeding. Nature's was of creating more room at the top.

Good question.
Seems to me people who want to support American family life would be all for this.
