Uh huh. Black Americans Making America First

You mean you want minorities to be disrespected? Just going by your words here.
But since you admit minorities TEND to vote for social conservatives, how disconcerting it must be to hear Chuck Schumer come out and admit that he fully intends to get the 11 million illegals turned into citizens.

In so much as you want to be disrespectful towards them.

No. I'm not worried. Because of right wing disrespect. If Republicans realized where there problems lie, democrats would be dead in the water.

Not quite sure how we’re meant to interpret your quote

“Once that money is spent, everything will be perfectly fine, and those people will suddenly become hard-working taxpayers rather than people living on the street with a drug or alcohol problem.”

in any way other than as a sarcastic remark suggesting the recipients of the proposed reparations (Black and Native Americans) are not hard-working taxpayers but rather live on the streets with a drug problem. Did you mean something else?
I was under the impression that blacks and Natives were seen as victims in need of reparations to the tune of $233,000 each in order to be "equal" to those who won't be getting that money, but will be forced to supply it--white people.

Now I've often been accused of sarcasm on this forum. But in my defence, I reject the position that it's the lowest form of wit. In the right hands and used with discretion it can be a very useful tool. I don't consider myself an expert at it, but I know it well enough to recognise it when it's presented. And the quote above is an example. Not a good one. But an example nevertheless.

I'm with Belk. You need to stop digging and back up what you say. I mean, you are the one posting. Don't you be the one to question your own comments.

You can read the full article to learn exactly how the funds would be sourced and distributed. More importantly, it seems you believe the descriptors Black and Native are synonymous with street-living and drug addiction, if that’s the question you’re asking.

Are you implying that they're not victims? Or that white people don't owe them $233,000 apiece?

Then the victimization that's claimed for them doesn't leave them homeless? It doesn't deny them jobs? It doesn't cause more of them to be on drugs? It doesn't cause them to turn to crime and end up in prison?
Those are the claims we've been hearing on a regular basis. Are they suddenly not true?

Being fired for being a certain skin color is the same treatment "folks" want?
Sounds like Jim Crow is about to make a comeback.
No, Jim Crow was official law-enforced racism. This wasn't.

It is just a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. But who cares about that when it is in the name of equity? Right?

And that makes it good and right?
 You know I didn't say that. What I said was the Jim Crow was government mandated racism enforced by law while this appears to have been illegal.

What? The court is very likely to find for Wann, not the people who discriminated against him. The court represents the government. It is not enforcing racism.

What was your point in bringing it up? You said it as if it was ok if it wasn't an "official" standpoint. If that wasn't your point, then why say it?

I'm explicitly stating that you are digging yourself a hole and should stop doing so. Nothing good is going to come from these arguments.

My point was and is that this is not Jim Crow. Is that a difficult concept? For some reason, you seem determined to read into that some acceptance of racism that simply isn't there.

You stated, "Sounds like Jim Crow is about to make a comeback." I am disputing that this is in any way Jim Crow. Why would you take that to mean that: not Jim Crow therefore kittens and butterflies? Projection, perhaps.

Under Jim Crow, the government decided to discriminate against black people based on their skin color.
Now, the government wants to discriminate against white people (based on their skin color) of today by forcing them to pay $233,000 of their dollars to black people (based on their skin color).
Race-based discrimination. First seen as bad, but now good--both done by government.
So yes, just another type of Jim Crow laws.

Your Jim Crow comment was in reference to the Wann firing.
