Ah so all of that was already a problem under the Biden administration.
Yes, and Biden provided funding to promote their farming. Trump just took it away from them, and some are worried about going under. So again, Trump is making US farming worse.

It seems that whatever Biden did was either too little or too late or both. And Trump is in the monumental process of having to fix the gigantic economic mess Biden put the country in. Put another way, if the previous administration hadn't messed things up so badly, Trump wouldn't have to be taking current measures.

Obama signed a Farm Bill. Biden provided funding. Trump took that away and farmers lost their farms. You can square that reality any way you want by just saying stuff, but reality is reality.

Are you kidding? Trump froze some of the spending and in less than a month these farmers lost their farms?

I find that hard to believe and I find it hard to believe that it was a direct result of this.

Missouri cattle producer Skylar Holden: "I've already done a bunch of the work, already paid for the material and the labor, so I'm out all that cost. We are possibly going to lose our farm if NRCS doesn't hold up their contract with us."

Ok "possibly" which kind of like those soybean farmers the last Trump admin, if this continues they "will" lose the farm. We're you cool with those actions the last time farmers lost their farms because of Trump's actions?

How much upgrading are they in need of during this pause in federal funding? Is Trump the first president to ever pause federal funding?

Neither strange or unknown. The administration responsible for it is gone. And they know the current administration is working to fix it. But they also know that It's so messed up, it might get worse before it gets better.
Out of curiosity, how much time will Trump be given before the complaining starts? Weeks? Months? Years?

They’ve already gone out and spent the loans, they are waiting for the Federal Government to carry out its Constitutional duty to pay on the contracts it owes, (who reneges on a contract)?
Is Trump the first president to ever pause federal funding?
I’m fairly certain that South Carolina didn’t get very good mail service after they seceded.

Okay possibly. No one has lost a farm. This was a pause. I'm sure the contracts will be upheld in due time. It's only been 19 days. The world hasn't ended yet despite the cries from the left.

Farmers lost their farms last Trump admin because of Trump's direct actions. And don't be so sure those contracts will be upheld because those funds were part of the Inflation Reduction Act that every single GOP wants to kill. Farmers will lose farms again under Trump like the least time.

Yes.
And this too:
"The tariffs Trump imposed on Chinese goods in 2018 had a net negative effect on manufacturing jobs as well overall U.S. employment.
The Federal Reserve Board found that the tariffs caused a reduction in manufacturing employment of 1.4%. Modest gains (0.3%) achieved by shielding domestic producers from foreign competition were “more than offset” by rising production costs for manufacturers who used steel as an input (-1.1%) and retaliatory tariffs (-0.7%).
Federal Reserve data recorded approximately 12.4 million manufacturing jobs when Trump became president in January 2017 and 12.2 million when he left in January 2021. There were 12.9 million manufacturing jobs in September 2024, although job creation in the manufacturing sector and manufacturing’s share of total employment are lower than pre-tariff rates.
Economy-wide, Oxford Economics estimated in 2021 that the tariffs and resulting trade war cost 245,000 jobs and 0.5% of GDP while reducing real incomes by $675 per household. "

Let the coming good times roll....

During President Biden's tenure, the economy was stable and robust; however, there was significant inflation. Despite the strong economic performance, voters attributed the high inflation to President Biden.

Referring to the economy under President Biden as a mess is a politically biased opinion without any shred of truth. Such remarks are commonly observed in secular political discussions forum; however, I did not anticipate encountering such a blatant falsehood in a Christian forum.

I was able to buy an 82 foot yacht last year, not bad working at Walmart in 2020. But yes, Biden was terrible.

President Biden retained most of the tariffs imposed on China during President Trump's first term. Therefore, if tariff-related issues have impacted farmers, both President Trump and President Biden can be considered responsible.

If a USAID spending freeze causes issues, it will not impact any farmers for at least three months. Any farmer who is unable to sustain themselves for 19 days should reconsider their involvement in farming or any type of business.
