I have noted how thurogh you have been in a few of the posts I read that you wrote. So I am pleased to comment back to you on a well wrote and thoughtfull post. I am not that eloquaint in my writing.
I am more like Wigglesworth. A little gruff.
John G Lake also died early, His wife also died early of sickness because he wasnt there. Wigglesworths daughter was deaf and udes a huge copper trumpet to hear better. If he could not get her healed. Who would dare pray for her if He coul not get her healed.
I like most of what you posted. But there is one vital thing mnissing from your final analyises.
You never gave Jesus the credit for what He fully accomplished. Healing is for all healing is for today. God does not differentciate one from another. What He will do for one He will do for all. Its all ready done. Baought and paid for same as salvation. We dont believe Him as you just said and many other believe the same as you. But you can not back up with Scripture that God does not want you healed. Or that God picks and chosses who gets healed today. and not tomorrow.
I have as many scriptures telling you why you are healed. You might have a couple out of context verses.
In the desert all who looked up got healed. All every single one.
We have a better covanant. But the church as a whole accuses God of yes and no.
That is unbiblical.
Unbelif is the only reason people dont get healed. The church does not believe as a whole or anything like a whole. That God heals today. Even the ones who say yes I believe. most of them do not go out and do what scripture tells us to do. Believers are so thin on the ground on healing. and when the stick there heads up theget shot by unbelieving Christians.
YES...........God heals!
James 5:13-16.........
"Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
Does the Scriptures say that a MAN should be called and that HE would heal the sick?
Mr. Hinn's theology of healing is clarified in various books. In his book ‘Lord I need a miracle’ p.63 he says..........
“I believe that its not only God's will for you to be healed, it is his will that you live in health until he calls you home. I’m not one that prays if it be your will lord grant healing to this person. It is his will you will never hear me pray such faith destroying words as if it be you will Lord heal them.”
Now the exact words that Mr. Hinn is saying is that the words that Jesus and the Apostles spoke are faith destroying, which means that they were in sin.
WHY?????
Because they all prayed for God's will in matters. So he is saying that all should be healed by either his speaking it in faith or their’s. Paul was rejected in his request for healing from the Lord not once but three times. It was to keep him humble for the revelations he received. But it seems Mr. Hinn does not need to be kept humble though his revelations exceed even the Apostle Pauls.
IS that the teaching you are supporting so strongly?????
