As you would know a lot of Australia is burning. Things are getting worse.
In NSW the firefighters are saying there is no way they can stop them other than a change in conditions and worse weather is expected.
Yesterday the conditions were so bad a firetruck (10 ton) was flipped over killing one young fireman, and injuring the others, the driver critically.
We have fires but this is unprecedented.
South Australia has them.
Victoria has large fires too, one town of over 4000 people evacuated to the beach last night which literally saved lives. At ten in the morning yesterday it was like midnight with walls of flames.
Now they think two huge fires in Victoria may join up.
Many have no communication, no power, phones, internet, some even water.
One person in an evacuation centre last night said they holed up there with others and all their pets, could see nothing but could hear the firetrucks circling outside.
Its just unimaginable.
The military have been helping to get supplies to people even naval vessels.
After Black Saturday fires a number of years ago when many lives were lost, the one good thing to come out if it was people learnt to get out early (houses can be rebuilt, people can't ).So far seven people are dead.
Many people are stranded and the firefighters are getting flown in and out in Mallacoota Victoria, the Navy is on its way to take people out.
The loss of animals, domestic and native doesn't bear thinking.
Please, pray for all involved and more so for rain which looks high impossible but for God sending it specifically.
I know this is a long post but also I wanted to give an idea of what it is like for many.
Praise God I and others are not affected but this is only the start of the start of the season usually mid Jan/Feb is the worse.
Please God may it not be so.
Thank you for any prayers.
