ETA; the Egyptian account of this story is radically different,
I have no doubt about that.

As I said, Egypt is a type of the world.

Is that why their boss ended up at the bottom of the Red sea?

The fact is, their boss thought like you do, and you do because you probably learned that in college, and college teaches worldly stuff, and Egypt is a type of the world, and you are in the world.

So ya, Pharaoh took that My-Magicians-Are-Better-Than-Your-God attitude right into the Red sea.

I'm sure he changed his mind after that; but by then it was too late.

There are some very good reasons that there would be no documentation to this effect outside of the Bible:
  1. Losers don't advertise.
  2. If it was documented, then the documents decayed back to the Periodic Table.
  3. If it was documented, and they didn't decay, they are pending discovery.
  4. The documents, like the Vaticanus, is currently stored somewhere (Area 51, or Patterson AFB in Ohio, or in the basement of the Smithsonian, or somewhere else).
"It never happened" isn't an option, unless you've been schooled in the Egyptian hallways.

Remember what I said about evidence and how you can't have history without evidence...

So Jesus didn't walk on water?

We have no evidence, so I'll say no. However, I can't really imagine how a man walking on water would be able to create physical evidence because water is... well, water.

5. Magic isn't real.

Let me guess, you really believe Copperfield made the Stature of Liberty disappear?

Yeah... except it never happened. The Jews weren't held as slaves in Egypt. Therefore there was no exodus. The Pharaoh never drowned in a magical miracle that didn't happen.

The Egyptians were exceptional record keepers. Of happenings that made them look good and bad. And yes, we've found some people who were erased from their history. There is no pharaoh erased around that time. We're good at knowing that too.

It's ok, I know you'll stick to what the Bible says even if it never happened.

Worst argument ever.
Yes, I know why you may think this. You've never looked into it, yet felt compelled to render an opinion based on one sentence from just one study. This is what creationists do.

It's not my job to educate you.

Huh?
You said Yep, which is generally taken as agreement.
I make mild attempt at a funny, that agreeing is not much of
a argument and I get all that back?
You take it, and build some fantastical structure
with at least a half dozen falsehoods about me that you
simply fabricated from thin air?
As it happens, I only yesterday finished a book on the
mysteries of speech, which is why I thought to comment
as I did.
If Nature is not an adequate source for my comment
there doubtless are more.
Of course, I don't know what specific claim you made
about FOX, though you seemed to be contradicting
me.
Seems to me the elabourste conclusion based on
zero data delivered with snark and personal remarks
is hat most properly the terrain of the creo, and it I'll befits you
to mimic it.

Well there's a new term now: "magical miracle."

It gets better all the time, doesn't it? ;)

Did Washington cross the Delaware?

Since we do have evidence of that happening, from both American accounts and British accounts from the Revolutionary War, yes, it did happen.

See, there's that thing: evidence.

I'll say so. No. He did not. No man can walk on a liquid. It's either a screwed up translation or it's simply a lie.
Is Israel the Promised Land?

(And I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you know what I'm asking.)

And that's a YES or NO question.
