CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My husband is sick, so it doesn't look like we are going to be travelling for a while. We were so looking forward to making another trip to Arkansas.

Searcy, AR here... looking for someone who might be able to help me learn how to drive... I came from a patriarchal family who believed that a woman's only role was to pop out babies so I don't have a high school education (I was "homeschooled" but didn't really learn anything past 8th grade), didn't learn how to drive, have never held a job because I was a prisoner in my own home.
I eventually became homeless in order to leave the abuse.
Anyone in the Little Rock/Conway/Searcy area who might be able to help in any way, let me know. My husband is disabled; we are trying to live on his check of under $700 a month. And of course because I don't have a GED I can't get work. :/

Good to see this thread is still active. We have very fond memories of our visit to Arkansas. It is such a beautiful state. Maybe one day, God willing, we will make another trip

Not from Arkansas right now. But, my dad is thinking about moving us to Arkansas in a few years. I've never been there, but when everything is new to you, you wait for it in anticipation...
