:amen: YAY ! ! :amen: It is GREAT to see some people in here from the sprawling metropolis of Arkansas! ! I would have to concurr with the comments about the weather! It was certainly the blessing to see snow on Christmas, but I must concede that I am enjoying these "seasonal temperatures" if there is such a thing in Arkansas!;) Most of the snow days, I ended up commuting from Hot Springs(where I grew up) to school in Fayetteville...kinda yuck. Well, I "reckon'" that I just wanted to say hello. God Bless all of you people from God's Country(aka Arkansas.) Oh, RadicalJeeper, do you go to UBC in Fayetteville? University Baptist Church? Been there and done that...if that is the case. Oh, and I think that I know a Mr. Michaeu from Trinity in Hot Springs. While I wasn't a Christian when I knew him, it would be interesting to see if he/you are the same guy. SMALL WORLD HUH! Aight, well God Bless you and guard your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus!

Your Arkansan Brother in Christ,

WOW thats one serious commute!
Heather, to be exact, that is 182 miles from my house in Hot Springs to my apartment in Fayetteville. It can be kinda pretty though. So I guess that you live around the Benton area? Oh, and yeah, I'm an "Arky youngun' too!" Well, Heather, I look forward to getting to know you and grow in Christ together. God Bless and have a GREAT day!

Until ALL have heard,
Jason

I'm not from Arkansas, but I go to school at Harding U. in Searcy. But I have to say that it was 70 degrees today and it makes me sad. This is January people!!! Where are the below freezing temperatures? We had mosquitos today!!! Ugh!
You see Ouch, there are really very few "predictable weather patterns" here on God's country...Arkansas. It is peculiar enough to people that have lived here their entire lives the weather, but I could not imagine moving here and adjusting accordingly. Oh, and the stinkin' bugs only get worse! OUCH indeed. Thanks for the advice on the repping. So where are you from Ouch? Why Arkansas? What are you studying at Harding? I have actually considered transferring there from the U of A, Fayetteville. Well buddy, I hope that the weather becomes more accomodating to your needs...but don't hold your breath. Maybe next week it will snow:D
Until ALL have heard,
Jason

Yes, I have experienced the worst of the bugs, that is for sure. I am originally from Louisville, KY. I came here to Harding because I want to work in the church, so I am majoring in Youth Ministry. This was my best option for that. This place is surely different from U of A!! But I love it here, great people. I hope the weather starts behaving too!

That must be quite the drastic change from Louisville. I've been there a time or two, and let me just say that Searcy is not quite so...um...HUGE! So you were called to the youth ministry? How is that? For whatever reason that the Lord has placed in your heart a desire to serve Him in this degree, I am thankful. Have you been to the U of A? I've been a student here for 2 years but just surrendered to the ministry and will be enrolling in some correspondence courses here and there to start some progress in my new calling. The U of A is a good experience for many, and it has been for me, but that season of my life is coming to an end I do believe. Here I am, SEND ME LORD! Well Ouch, I hope that the weather starts behaving for you too:D Take care buddy and God Bless!

I've been to UBC a time or two. I have a couple of friends that frequent the church too. I am actually a member of Calvary Baptist Church on Porter Rd. I am a sophomore by hours and was until recently pursuing a double major in Poultry Science and Agriculture Education. Poultry Science was giving me a bunch of money to major and I am poor so I gladly accepted :D I still live in Fayetteville off campus. I would invite you, in the case that you have nothing going on Thursday nights to MBSF (Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.) You don't have to be Missionary Baptist by any means. We start out our gatherings with an ice-breaker to get everyone acquainted. Then we have a small group devotional to prepare our hearts for the message for the night. Then we have a lesson from the MBSF director Bro. Daryl Kendrick, then prayer time and a small food fellowship afterwards. It is at 7 o'clock every Thursday. I surrendered to the ministry about a month ago and am about to transfer enrollment to Louisiana Baptist College or Central Baptist College in Conway to pursue a Bach. in Bible. I will only be taking classes through correspondence for a while though, because I don't want to leave Fayetteville. Well Bro, I hope to get to talk to you soon. God Bless and Take Care RadicalJeeper!
