Pretty close. I'm just east of Phoenix.

Have any of you ever had the binding of a book melt in your car? This happened to me the other day for the first time.

Yesterday I left a partial cup of coffee in my car while working..when i was leaving to go home the coffee was hotter then when it came out of the coffeepot!U will be in our prayers eRev!

It's an awesome state. We're lucky that the summers are so brutal, or everybody would be here. An AZ summer is one tough litmus test as to how bad you want to be here.

We moved here from CT last spring. I love it here - was raised in Florida, so the heat pleases me very much. CT was brutal for me. I pray God never sends me back... though my husband probably prays different prayers! He misses his family back East and wants to move back either to CT or FL in a few years. I will be sad to go. I love the mountains, I love the rolling hills. To me, the desert has a spiritual dimension and I feel so blessed to have experienced the SouthWest.

I have experienced that solar heated coffee many times. Just yesterday as a matter of fact.

Love driving, hate paying for gas and trying to stay awake after a twelve-hour shift. Not good. Better to be in Florence and play in Phoenix and Tucson on my days off.

Hey Shawn:

I've fallen asleep at the wheel twice the past week trying to get from the van stop to home. I was awakened both times by the cars honking at me from behind. Dozed off twice at a stoplight. Argh.

My nephew got married tonight. I was blessed to have been there to witness the wedding vows and spend a night with the love of family and friends. So much love. So many tears of joy. It was a Godly experience. One I will hold dear to my heart. So proud of my first nephew.
So very proud. So thankful for God's grace and generosity.

Very much so -- I know it sounds a bit like nature worship but really, you know God is there in the isolation and silence of the desert.

Please be safe. The job's hard enough to take; can you imagine making it through work and buying it just coming home? Congrats on your nephew, and I pray the Lord will bless his marriage.

I've been going nuts bouncing between here and Tucson. It seems that someone needs me immediately only when a big storm is coming through. I love the rain, and the lightning is awesome, but being batted around by high winds on the freeway is not fun.
