No, seriously. I just assume that bilingual = English & Spanish, and didn't stop to think that there would be other languages to take into account in other areas really (except maybe like French in Maine or Louisiana or such).

Actually, there is a European joke that goes with it:

What do you call a person who speaks three languages? Tri-lingual.

What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bi-lingual.

Whay do you call someone who speaks only one language? An American.

I lived in NH til I was 2, MA til I was 13, NC til I was 15, now I'm in AZ. I was in Yuma, but my DH and I moved to Phoenix last October. Unfortunately Yuma eats people and we're moving back in August. We say we'll leave when we get on our feet, but I have a feeling we won't.
