I'm a combination of the first and last answer, though more of the first. I really am happy with being single and have found ways to be happy with it. I don't see it so much as giving up on the idea as it is letting it go and/or seeking other options and opportunities to make me happy.

eh, i've been single a long time. I've been really happy and content with it, i've been really upset by it. Now mostly i'm just tired of the wait. I WANT to have the chance to love someone and be loved. I don't know why that makes people here want to hate me or be the first to tell me there's something wrong with feeling that way or something. I find that really sad.

It took me a while to get here, but I can honestly say I am content being single.

I feel fine. I don't want to offend anyone because I know this is a touchy topic, but I feel that individuals should be content with being single before they consider getting into a relationship. I don't need a relationship. I think a relationship helps to enhance one's life, not define it.

I'm far from being content and happy about being unloved. I've given up on a world and dating process that doesn't make sense. "You find love when you stop looking.", "I'm not shallow but I want a wife/husband that is hot.", "I hate jerks, but they're the only ones I'm attracted to."
