I've always been under the assumption that the AoG practices a form of Open Communion where anyone who considers themselves a Christian is able to receive Communion. Though I might be mistaken.

Thanks, from posts on a couple threads, I've gathered the following.
1. AG churches are autonomous and can have a varying requirement on this. (ie in an AG church in Italy, you need to be baptised to receive bread/wine however an American AG person wrote that is definitely not the case at his AG. To be fair I have no idea about the italian AG church and if it really considers itself AG, just going by the word of a poster.

2.in AG you do not need to be baptised in water prior or necessarily agree with doctrines of AG. You do have to believe in Jesus as saviour.

3. Receiving unworthily can't effect you as it is a memorial only. You are already damaged if you do recieve unworthily.

I don't want to misrepresent AG, but that's what I have gathered so far.

Note - the AoG "Franchise" is something approximating 60+ million strong in the World market, and the AoG HQ (Springfield, MO) DOESN'T lead with an "Iron Fist". We send missionaries into other countries PRIMARILY as "Administrators", and educators to plant colleges, as well as churches, and our intention is that the church leadership in other countries should be indigenous, and not "Imported" from the U.S. Folks from the U.S. tend to mix their "Americanism" with the message - and that's Neither needed, or necessarily "welcome" in the World market. And so there are differences in the way that the various nationalities "do it".

In the U.S. the AoG is only 2.7 million, and so the VAST MAJORITY of the church is in locations other than the U.S.

TO the best of my knowledge, however, "Communion" is universally NOT seen as a "Sacrament" - since we don't have any of those. But as an "ordinance", and so the "Restrictions" on it are generally less pronounced than it would be in Churches that believe in "Sacraments".
