I just figured that someone who had such a strong opinion about something they are completely ignorant about must either be foreign, or has abandoned reality to believe their ideology.
I'm not ignorant at all (much less "completely") about the issue. In fact, I'm the one who corrected you and you half-way admitted you were wrong. Regardless of what you admit to or not, you were wrong, 100%. AOC did not deny anyone of anything. NOBODY denied Amazon of anything. You claimed all of that and it was all completely wrong.

So, you "figured" wrong (again).

The fact that you have already convinced yourself that AOC working to prevent amazon jobs in her district is a "lie" before any evidence was presented proves that it is a waste of time discussing this further.
Here you are at it again, making false statements. Feel free to show everyone anywhere that I "have already convinced [my]self that AOC working to prevent amazong jobs in her district is a "lie" before any evidence was presented". We all know you can't, but feel free to prove that you can, if you really think you can. You just make it up as you go along...

I am willing to guess that you have already googled this topic and discovered that it is true. AOC absolutely worked to keep amazon out of her district at the cost of thousands of jobs. But you will never admit it, at least not to me on this forum, because your ideology is preventing you.
No need to google what I already knew about. AOC didn't work to keep jobs or amazon out of her district. Yet again, you make it up as you go along.

Amazon chose a location in NYC which is in AOC's district. The unions staged rallies and protests to influence Amazon to use union labor for the new jobs. AOC of course backed the unions. They were not trying to eliminate jobs; they wanted to have the jobs but, like the other jobs in the area, they wanted them to be union jobs. Nobody did anything wrong, it was a very American exercise of freedom of speech and freedom of choice. The unions made clear their intention to organize any labor force Amazon hired and Amazon decided to change their mind about opening in that location. Nobody was "denied", nobody was "working against jobs" or "to eliminate jobs" or any of the other myths and fables you are telling here.

Next time, have a clue about the issue before digging yourself a hole that you can't get out of. Try Google for yourself.

And I'm still waiting for you to show where AOC denied Amazon from opening or hiring people for jobs. Where is that proof? You seem to be dodging that.

I actually don't think that much about it as it doesn't concern me directly.
Right, your thoughts are only on yourself and only what directly affects you. Got it. (And you somehow think that the well-being of others around you doesn't directly affect you...got it, also.)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez parodied GOP stance against $2,000 stimulus checks in a sarcastic tweet

AOC is right on about this and even Trump agrees. The party of NO strikes again and this time hitting innocent victims.
We have nearly $28 trillion in debt. Taxpayers cannot afford free money for everyone, to say nothing about the wasteful pork, foreign aid and other nonsense in this stimulus bill. This stimulus bill, supported by liberals in the Democratic Party and Trump, only hastens our economic and financial decline. Something AOC no doubt supports.

You said it here. Note how this was after I corrected myself and clarified that she actively worked to prevent amazon from bringing their facility to New York

"Perhaps"? Huh? Which liars are telling you such things? FACT: Nobody denied amazon anything. End of story.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was a vocal opponent of Amazon's opening a second headquarters in Queens, New York City. Although Ocasio-Cortez was not the sole force behind Amazon's withdrawing their plan to open a site in New York City, many other public officials and residents opposed the plan as well. Long Island City.

I didn't say it here, for one thing. Also, you didn't correct yourself - you said "perhaps". You are not willing to admit you were wrong even though you were. Admit you were wrong and then I'll give you credit for it. You never corrected nor clarified anything. You tried to move the goalposts - you went from saying she "denied" Amazon from opening a location to saying she "worked against" Amazon (which also isn't even true but somewhat less false at least). And you said "perhaps" you used the wrong word, so you didn't correct yourself, you instead tried to give yourself the possibility of having been correct. Shady stuff and no actual admission or self-correction.

She wasn't an opponent of Amazon opening a location in Queens per se, she was an opponent of Amazon being given way too many privileges and then not cooperating with the unions. At least you admit she was NOT the sole force, nor was she even the main force. Amazon made their decision but you want to blame AOC for it, LOL. Poor, poor Amazon, they can't handle AOC - that's your story line. Fake story, of course, but hey that's all you've been providing is fake and false information.

C'mon, man!

I said: "Okay, perhaps 'denied' was not the appropriate word to describe her actively working to prevent amazon from bringing jobs to her district."

By stating that "denied" was not appropriate, I was stating that it was incorrect. Although, if she could she would have denied Amazon. Then you responded with

"Perhaps"? Huh? Which liars are telling you such things? FACT: Nobody denied amazon anything. End of story.
This was you telling me that her actively working to prevent amazon from bringing jobs that could have benefited her district was a lie.

Per se? Now you are the one moving the goal post my friend. At least now you admit that there is some merit of truth. By the way, I never said or assumed that AOC was the "sole force" or "main force" to keep Amazon out of New York City. But that wasn't even the point. The point was that she, in fact, did not want amazon to bring thousands of jobs to New York...period. She even celebrated when they pulled out and went elsewhere. Therefore, she demonstrated that she did not give a lick about all the people who lost an opportunity to receive a stable income and now she is whining about a stimulus check.

Final note, the "fake and false information" that I have been provided was a direct quote from a Snopes fact check. Now I don't particularly care much about "Fact-Checkers", but liberals seem to love them. So I find it interesting that you dismissed it as false because it did not agree with your ideology.

Did Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 'Chase' Amazon Out of Her NYC District? (snopes.com)

Oh hooo!!! We can't afford! We can't afford!!! Obviosuly, we can afford to funnel billions of dollars a year from states like New York and New Jersey into welfare states like McConnell's Kentucky, but heaven forbid that the people of New York and New Jersey need some of that money back in a time of crisis, then all of a sudden "*WE* CAN'T AFFORD!!!!" is the cry from the right!!!! LOLLLL!!!

Oh please.... WE (i.e. New York, New Jersey, and other productive blue states) CAN afford to bail ourselves out in times of crises. In fact, we year after year bail out unproductive, welfare red states like Kentucky and the entire south, paying for their state governments PLUS their recovery from tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, etc. (and those people just rebuild right in tornado and hurricane alley and in the flood zones...).

Your cries fall on deaf ears, here - I don't buy the crocodile tears of "We can't afford!!!!" from red staters who don't pull their own weight and want to keep the gravy train flowing into their coiffeurs, money they didn't earn, money they leech off the productive staters. Then all of a sudden after 4 years of Trump and not a word about the deficit, it's all of a sudden, "OOOHHHHH, The DEFICIT!!! We CAN'T AFFORD!!! We CAN'T AFFORD!!!!"

Let's see what you can't afford if the donor states of New York, New Jersey, etc. start really struggling and can no longer afford to float your red states year after year. Then what? Then who are you going to come begging to???

Give me a break, "we" can't afford, LOL!!!!! No, WE can afford - YOU can't afford.

Let New York and New Jersey bail themselves out then. Beyond that, the Federal budget should be slashed in half until the debt is paid off. No, the nation can't afford the stimulus bill or this extra "free" money.

You SAY that but you don't mean it and you don't support it with your vote. You want NY and NJ to bail you and every red state out, in reality. Socialism is good when it benefits you only, not anyone else - I understand that perspective you have.

All talk.

Who ever said it was "free"??? It's not free, it's my money. I should see it go to me and where I want it to go instead of to you and where you want it to go.

First of all, you have no idea who I vote for. I don't vote for liberal Democrats and I don't vote for liberal Republicans like Trump. I have been screaming about fiscal responsibility since the 90s. There was a time when the Republicans could be believed when they ran on fiscal responsibility. Bush 43 destroyed that when he and a Republican Congress doubled the debt in 8 years. Trump will have increased the debt by nearly 8 trillion in 4 years. The Democrats are no better of course. Obama doubled the debt in his 8 years and the biggest spending bills in history have been passed by House Democrats.

The unmitigated arrogance of pretending like Federal government expenditures are yours simply because you're from New York or New Jersey is outrageous. Those of us in flyover country pay taxes too. In my case, I pay plenty in tax. Sending more money to people who aren't paying taxes is a bad move. Not only can the nation not affort it, the money provides a disincentive to work. Worse, it gives incentive to totalitarian dictators like Cuomo to continue lockdowns, shutdowns and destruction through 2021 and beyond.

Something that you might want to peruse are top quotes from “Democracy in America” by Alexis De Tocqueville. In there somewhere as I vaguely recall, is something about democracy failing when the people realize they can vote in unrealistic rewards for themselves.

It's getting to be routine for AOC to be misinformed when she takes to her pulpit.

This instance here is no exception, so it's not surprising that she's been steadily losing credibility even with her fellow Democrats in Congress. She now is reported to be considering leaving Congress because she who once was seen as some sort of rising star is now an embarrassment.

Right, and she is considering having her army of flying monkeys are confiscating all cars and planes in America. It's fun to make up stories!

Thanks for confirming to me that I already know who you do not vote for; based on that, I'm pretty sure I've figured out who and what you do vote for as well.

There was never a time when the Republicans cared about fiscal responsibility, but cool story bro.

You pay taxes but not your fair share. I pay your fair share on top of mine. I do this for the red states. If you were serious about fairness in taxation then you would be in agreement with me and on your knees in gratitude to New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and other blue states for providing for the red flyover states. If you were serious about "sending money to people who aren't paying taxes is a bad move" then you would be up in arms about how donor states like mine are sending money to welfare states like the red flyover states of America.

But you ignore those facts. You want the redistribution of wealth to happen from blue to red, from me to you, and then AFTER receiving the benefit of that socialism you THEN want to pretend you are against redistribution of wealth from the productive to the unproductive.

You are contradicting yourself in your rhetoric. I can't take your argument about this seriously when you already don't practice what you preach about it.

Considering I want the income tax amendment repealed and Federal spending drastically reduced, your claims of hypocrisy ring hollow. I'm a small government Christian libertarian who opposes nearly all of the Federal governments spending. Corporate welfare, agriculture welfare, infrastructure projects, excessive military spending, healthcare, social security, run of the mill welfare programs and these ridiculous stimulus bills are all things I oppose and believe should be eliminated.

I will not be in agreement with you so long as you favor expansion of government spending. You insist on this ridiculous $2k freebie while at the same time you grouse about money going to red states. You do realize the majority of this money would end up in flyover country don't you?

I'm all for tax cuts but when nearly 50% don't pay income taxes they shouldn't be getting a check from the government in the form of a tax rebate. All these stimulus checks and unemployment on steriods do is make it easier for out of control tyrants to shut down businesses.
