Trump, now waging his third White House bid, told attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this month that it’s time to “change our thinking” on early and mail-in voting. And in speeches and fundraising emails, he’s touting his campaign’s plans to encourage “ballot harvesting,” the practice of allowing third parties to collect and turn in other voters’ ballots. His party, he said, has “no choice” but to beat “Democrats at their own game.” [that game being the promotion of all of the flexible and legal methods of voting to help increase turnout.]

That’s a stark reversal for a politician who last November issued an all-caps declaration on his Truth Social account alleging, in part, “YOU CAN NEVER HAVE FAIR & FREE ELECTIONS WITH MAIL-IN BALLOTS – NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.”
[Not to mention the messages coming from him and his partisans along the lines of "why bother voting if it's rigged". Apparently, the new thinking within the GOP is that winning elections requires people to be eager to vote, not dissuaded from voting.]

The change in tone and message reflects the view among party strategists that Trump’s relentless and false claims about election fraud in 2020 and the harsh GOP rhetoric about a form of voting used widely in key battleground states, such as Arizona, contributed to the party’s disappointing midterm results. And they fear it could endanger GOP hopes of capturing the White House and other offices next year.

“It’s a Republican-created problem among Republicans,” said Paul Bentz, a GOP pollster in Phoenix.

“The whole narrative associated with voting in person has so thoroughly infiltrated into the Republican Party that it’s going to take a lot to change the view of Republicans at this point,” Stewart said.

It's like they're not even trying to making the scam believable.

The GOP & Trump strategy of having courts toss thousands of legal mail ballots did not work. It's about time they honor all American votes and actually work to earn them!

Sorry but man this gets old. When only part of a story is told.. then even when and it happens here all the time...when the other side of the story is shared.. its just ignored.
The hypocricy, inconsistency and flip-flopping? Oh, yeah I agree. It does get old.

Seems like that would be a step in the right direction for USA, having both major parties promoting and making it easier for people to legally vote.
While they are at it they should
- Increase the number of drop boxes
- Shift election day to the week-end
- allow people to supply water to people in long queues.
- Allow mail-in for anyone that wants it
- Get rid of electoral system and just go based on the popular vote.

With these rules in place, they would then need to come up with policies and strategies that could win the popular vote.

It gets worse: GOP states are pulling out of ERIC, Electronic Registration Information Center, which allows states to check for double voter registration. The stated rationales are that joining requires that every two years, states have to send a postcard to potential voters informing them how to register and that it is connected to Soros somehow.

Republicans enable voter fraud in the name of fighting it

The nonprofit association, which is led by its own members, formed in 2012 after a report showed that one in eight voter registrations across the country were no longer valid. Four of the seven charter members were Republican-led states. By last year, 34 states plus D.C. had joined — including the six tightest presidential battlegrounds. The system compiles voter participation records from member states along with change-of-address records from the U.S. Postal Service and death records from the Social Security Administration. The pooling of information has identified more than 11.5 million people who have moved across state lines and over 60 million potential voters who are unregistered.

The "Elders" group infiltrating our area with their poisonous ideas want to go back to paper ballots! Counted by their hypnotized puppets, I suppose.
Paper ballots seem like the a good way to keep a paper trail for accountability. They can be scanned and counted electronically.

This should come as no surprise from Trump. He's definitely the "I'll do anything to win guy." Including using the tactics of his enemies if he feels they've been proven successful.
