Let me attempt to explain this more simply. How could you, in your right mind, justify pushing a mask/vaccine mandate, and use your governing powers to strip people of their livelihoods (forcing them to close their businesses), or their freedom (throwing them in jail), for violating your mandates, laws you legislated for, or self imposed directives, only to turn around and do the very things you penalized or encouraged the penalization for others?

Let me explain this even more simply -- AOC does not have the ability to do this. Whatever laws or mandates exist in the state of New York have nothing to do with her.

With AOC this is more than just a mere, "oops, I made a stupid mistake." This is a situation of her loosing all credibility on the subject. Because she is incapable of leading by example. Her hypocrisy has put her in a position where she has lost all moral standing on the matter. If she truly believed everything her and her cohort professed, she would have worn a mask and socially distanced herself, regardless of the state mandates, to set herself as an example to follow.

Do you believe covid honors health laws? I would say not. I also would wager that AOC doesn't think so either. Restaurants cannot "choose" to follow health laws. But they can choose to follow CDC guidelines regardless of health laws. If this restaraunt, and there very same people she was partying with, we're in her home state, they would be shut down and thrown in jail and AOC would be at the loud speaker vilifying them the entire way. AOC went to Florida and party hardy while maskless for no other reason than because she truly believes the mask mandates are merely a means to control those she sees as mindless masses. Not for her who is above the hogwash.

Well, AOC is no state governor, so that's not a problem.

And as a legislator, she cannot impose any such mandates on the state of Florida. Only the Florida state legislature can do that... and if they did, DeSantis would veto it in a heartbeat.

Of course it does. It matches a perfectly. The fact that you can't see it is a bit scary. She demands people wear masks and then deliberately chooses to go somewhere where there is no mandate and she chooses not to wear one while not social distancing.
